    Derbyshire 116-9 v Warwickshire 274

Liam Norwell takes two more wickets for Warwickshire at Derby - and that leaves Derbyshire struggling to avoid following on for a second game running.

But, after Alex Hughes and Ben Aitchison fall in successive balls, the Derbyshire last pair are rallying.

From 101-9, Michael Cohen and Sam Conners have so par put on 15.

  2. 100 runs

100 for David Bedinghampublished at 14:56 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Worcestershire 131 v Durham 322-5

David Bedingham has duly reached his 100.

A third century of the summer for the South African - and his 10th in first-class cricket.

More importantly, in the context of this game, Durham lead by 191.

  3. Abell strikes for Somersetpublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Somerset 360 v Hampshire 110-5

More delight for the home crowd at Taunton as Somerset skipper Tom Abell picks up another timely wicket for the hosts.

Liam Dawson is caught at first slip by James Hildreth for just three.

Hampshire now in a real spot of bother on 110-5 still trailing by 250.

Sam Northeast (43 not out) doing his best to hold an end up.

  4. Solid start for Gloucestershire openerspublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Leicestershire 451 v Gloucestershire 28-0

Still looks like a dream of a pitch to bat on at Grace Road.

Chris Dent and Miles Hammond get Gloucestershire's reply to Leicestershire's mammoth 451 off to a promising start.

Hammond (16 not out) shows little respect to seamer Will Davis with a pull shot for six over deep square leg.

  5. Lyth misses out on 50published at 14:46 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Yorkshire 95-2 v Sussex 313

Sussex pick up another wicket and dismiss another Yorkshire opener.

Adam Lyth falls two short of a half-century as he is bowled around his legs by Jamie Atkins.

Leg stump goes cartwheeling out of the group as he shuffled across his crease a bit too much there to the right-armer.

  6. Things calm down a bit in Cardiffpublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Glamorgan 150, Lancashire 173 & 141-8

It's all quietened down a little after the post-lunch clatter of five wickets in Cardiff.

Saqib Mahmood have so far put on an almost priceless 17 runs together - and Lancashire now lead by 164.

  7. Pears break through at New Roadpublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Worcestershire 131 v Durham 305-5

Worcestershire finally claim their first wicket of the day - and it's the skipper who gets it.

Joe Leach has Michael Jones caught behind for 78 - but David Bedingham is still there on 91.

The South African is homing in on a third ton of the summer.

  9. Bears have Derbyshire in troublepublished at 14:37 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Derbyshire 98-7 v Warwickshire 274

Liam Norwell has his second wicket of the day as Anuj Dal is removed for a nine-ball duck.

Still another 27 needed to avoid following on for the second game running.

  10. Teenager Ibrahim bags maiden wicket for Sussexpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Yorkshire 87-1 v Sussex 313

Breakthrough for Sussex's bowlers at Headingley.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore becomes Dan Ibrahim's maiden first-class wicket as he is trapped leg before for 25.

Nice moment for the 16-year-old after his earlier half-century.

Dawid Malan comes out to join Adam Lyth at the crease.

  11. Vince departspublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Somerset 360 v Hampshire 97-4

Ah! Frustration for Hampshire and their skipper James Vince.

He plays a loose stroke off the back foot through the offside and it goes uppishly to backward point where Somerset substitute fielder Kasey Aldridge clings on to the catch off Josh Davey.

Vince visibly angry with himself as he has to depart for 29.

That ends a fourth-wicket partnership worth 66 with Sam Northeast (35 not out).

  12. . . . But no more wickets at Worcesterpublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Worcestershire 131 v Durham 300-4

    What a day of contrasts.

Carnage in Cardiff and at Derby, where wickets are falling like lemmings.

Meanwhile, at Worcester, Durham's fifth-wicket pair Michael Jones (76) and David Bedingham (84) remain unparted,

They have so far put on 166 - of which 162 have come today - to cruise past 300 for a third batting bonus point, and a surely matchwinning lead already of 169.

The Pears bowlers crave a breakthrough.

  13. Four more wickets fallen at Derbypublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Derbyshire 96-6 v Warwickshire 274

Four wickets since lunch for Warwickshire - the first three of them to Craig Miles.

The Bears paceman bagged Wayne Madsen and Ben McDermott in the same over, then four overs later he also removed Matt Critchley.

Then Liam Norwell got in on the act to have Brooke Guest caught behind for 23.

  14. Yorkshire continue strong startpublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Yorkshire 72-0 v Sussex 313

Adam Lyth (39 not out) and Tom Kohler-Cadmore (22 not out) are continuing to build a strong platform at the top Yorkshire's first innings.

They've got on with things too since lunch having resumed on 26-0.

Sussex earlier finished on 313 thanks to 16-year-old Daniel Ibrahim's maiden half-century.

But Yorkshire had a good morning with the ball as they claimed the last five Sussex wickets for just 46 runs.

  15. Mahmood survives hat-trick ballpublished at 14:16 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Glamorgan 150, Lancashire 173 &124-8

Lancashire at least avoid losing a third wicket of Michael Neser's lively 10th over as Saqib Mahmood sees out the hat-trick ball.

A single for Danny Lamb takes the slender lead up to 148.

  16. Leicestershire bowled out for 451published at 14:16 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Leicestershire 451 v Gloucestershire

Leicestershire's excellent first innings effort at Grace Road is finally all over.

Group Two leaders Gloucestershire bowl them out for 451 after 132 overs of toil in the field.

Marcus Harris with 148 the mainstay of that innings with half-centuries from Colin Ackermann (57) and Lewis Hill (56) to back it up.

Gloucestershire's seven bowlers share the wickets around but their reply will begin shortly.

  17. wicket

Michael Neser on a hat-trickpublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Glamorgan 150, Lancashire 173 &124-8

Tom Bailey goes first ball, caught behind off Michael Neser.

Saqib Mahmood is next man in, although he hasn't actually appeared yet!

  18. wicket

Yet another wicket, yet another LBWpublished at 14:12 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Glamorgan 150, Lancashire 173 &124-7

Lancashire skipper Dane Vilas is gone.

Michael Neser has another wicket, the 11th LBW decision in this match.

Eight wickets today now. 27 in the match. 61 overs left today.

Surely a two-day finish is on the cards.

  19. Vince & Northeast dig inpublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Somerset 360 v Hampshire 82-3

Sun continues to shine on those fortunate to have got in today for the continued return of spectators at Taunton.

Hampshire's rebuilding job continues after being reduced to 31-3 this morning.

Sam Northeast (22 not out) and James Vince (28 not out) have added 51 for the fourth wicket either side of lunch.

But still lots of work for the visitors to do to chip away at Somrset's first-innings total of 360.

  20. wicket

Run-out nightmare for Lancashirepublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 4 June 2021

    Glamorgan 150 v Lancashire 173 & 113-6

A third post-lunch wicket falls for Lancashire - poor luckless Luke Wood, run out without facing a ball.

Great bit of work by Marnus Labuschagne to remove new man in Wood as Dane Vilas attempted to take a quick single.

From 88-2 on the stoke of lunch, when they lost Alex Davies, it has all dramatically changed.

Perhaps rattled by a fiery spell from Michael Neser, the Red Rose have now slumped to 113-6 - and still lead by only 136.

After 19 wickets went down yesterday, that total has now risen to 26, although two of today's seven have been needless run-outs.
