    Glamorgan 150 & 95-2, Lancashire 173 & 164

    Glamorgan lose a second wicket as David Lloyd chips Tom Bailey to Keaton Jennings at short midwicket for 41.

    Billy Root - brother of England captain Joe - joins Australian Marnus Labuschagne, who is on 9, in the middle.

  2. Bears lose Lamb at Derby

    Derbyshire 121 v Warwickshire 274 & 85-4

    Ben Aitchison strikes for Derbyshire to get rid of Matt Lamb for 34 and bring his 67-run stand with Sam Hain to an end.

    Michael Burgess comes in to join Hain, who is well set on 42 - and on course for a sixth half-century of the summer.

    Worcestershire are making a better fist of it second time around.

    Following the early loss of Daryl Mitchell, Jake Libby and Tom Fell have taken just 10 overs to race to a 50 partnership.

    Libby has cracked five boundaries in his 28. Fell has three fours to his name in his 21. They still trail by a daunting 189 though.

    Yorkshire 226-2 v Sussex 313

    What a partnership this has been for Yorkshire.

    Gary Ballance has just reached his half-century, off 143 balls and including four boundaries, as he and Dawid Malan continue to edge the hosts towards Sussex's first-innings 313.

    Malan is going along at a good rate and has also now moved onto 82.

  5. Leicestershire 451 v Gloucestershire 155-9

    Callum Parkinson has his five-fer.

    He traps Josh Shaw lbw for seven to leave Gloucestershire 155-9.

    There are still 11 overs left this evening so, as I alluded to earlier, it is a very real possibility that the visiting openers may be strapping their pads back on before the close.

  6. Breakthrough for Lancashire in Cardiff

    Glamorgan 150 & 72-1, Lancashire 173 & 164

    Lancashire legspinner Matt Parkinson makes the breakthrough.

    He does Joe Cooke with a googly, the youngster edges to Luke Wells at slip and is gone for 38 - and the new man in is Marnus Labuschagne.

    116 more needed for a memorable Glamorgan win.

    Make that eight down, as Jonny Tattersall falls for 18. Chris Wright this time the man with the wicket.

    At this rate the visitors could be batting again tonight if made to follow on.

    Derbyshire 121 v Warwickshire 274 & 79-3

    Any faint hopes Derbyshire might have had of dragging themselves back into this game with those three quick wickets have been scuppered.

    Sam Hain and Matt Lamb have so put on 61 for the fourth wicket to take the game away from the hosts.

    Hain is on 38 and Lamb is on 31. The Bears lead by 232.

    Gloucestershire are completely collapsing.

    Callum Parkinson and Colin Ackermann are doing a superb job of ripping through the visitors' order, with Parkinson bowling Miles Hammond for 67 and then Ackermann removing Tom Smith for one.

    Gloucestershire are still trailing by 311.

  10. Mitchell out at Worcester

    Worcestershire 131 & 17-1 v Durham 381

    Daryl Mitchell is out cheaply for the second time in the match - and for the second time in the match it's NOT Chris Rushworth who's got him.

    Brydon Carse trapped him LBW in the first innings - and now Matt Potts has got him in the second, caught by Carse,

    When Rushworth got him out at Chester-le-Street in May, it was the ninth time he had dismissed him out - more then the Durham fast bowler has any other batsman.

    But not in this game. In fact, Rushworth is still astonishingly to take his first wicket.

    So it's not just Rushworth Mitch doesn't like facing, it's Durham, full stop.

    Somerset 360 v Hampshire 212-6

    This has been another good rebuild job by the Hampshire middle order and most notably Lewis McManus.

    He's just reached his fifty, including six boundaries, and has put on 64 for the seventh wicket with Keith Barker.

    Glamorgan's openers Joe Cooke and David Lloyd have so far put on 43 in their pursuit of 188 to win in Cardiff - and that is the highest partnership of the match so far.

    They have seen off Saqib Mahmood, who has taken a breather after seven hostile overs, the pitch appears to be playing a little easier - and they still have Marnus Labuschagne to come.

    County Championship Group Three leaders Lancashire look on course for a first defeat here.

    Leicestershire 451 v Gloucestershire 96-3

    Miles Hammond looks in good touch at the moment and, after scores of 77 and 45 against Surrey last time out, has chipped in with another half-century here.

    Gloucestershire are going to have to do a lot of batting to get anything from this match so, from their point of view, this needs to be just the start from Hammond.

    And that fact has just been compounded by the loss of Tom Lace, who has been dismissed by Colin Ackermann for one.

    Well played Dawid Malan, who's just brought up his half-century for Yorkshire.

    His fifty has come off 72 balls and included seven fours.

    He and Gary Ballance (26 not out) have put on 77.

    Warwickshire have lost three wickets early in their second innings, but they still have a commanding lead of 196 at tea on the second day - and the chance to now add to it, with two set batsmen.

    Sam Hain is on 19 and Matt Lamb is on 14.

    Glamorgan have made a sound start at Sophia Gardens in their pursuit of 188 to win.

    It's hostile stuff from Saqib Mahmood, but Joe Cooke and David Lloyd are still there and surviving - and, in eight overs so far, they have so far knocked off 25 of the runs needed.

    The cricket has been a touch attritional in the afternoon session, with the Somerset seamers plugging away with line, length and occasional extra bounce against Hampshire batsmen determined to sell their wickets dearly.

    Of the three wickets that fell for the addition of 90 runs in 35 overs, perhaps the most significant was that of James Vince, who cut a short ball from Josh Davey fiercely, but in the air, to backward point where substitute fielder Kasey Aldridge took a good catch high above his head.

    The irony of that was that the player for whom Aldridge was substituting is Lewis Goldsworthy, who's the best part of a foot shorter, and wouldn't have been able to get a hand on the ball.
