  1. Eng 145-4published at 55 overs

Neil Wagner is going a bit shorter in this spell, but Rory Burns is ducking and weaving it well. He gets his rewards when he plays with soft hands to guide it through gully for four to end the over.

In other news, someone's red velvet slipper or loafer has ended up on the outfield. The steward has been on to the retrieve the shoe and is refusing to give it back to his owner...

    This one could drag on.

Neil Wagner is having some fun in front of the Hollies, the crowd in that corner of the ground finding great joy in chanting his name. When he doffs his cap, there's an explosion of noise.

  3. Eng 141-4published at 54 overs

    Burns 65, Lawrence 8

A single apiece for Burns and Lawrence off Ajar Patel's latest over. He's found a little bit of spin so far, but nothing too extravagant.

The Hollies are currently singing "football is coming home". Will they still be singing that during the evening session on day four when England have drawn with Croatia?

They will love that shot in the Hollies Stand! A flourishing drive.

  6. Eng 139-4published at 53 overs

Rory Burns scored 48% of England's runs in the first innings at Lord's. He's currently got 46% of their total today.

All the talk of Joe Root or nothing might be changing to Rory Burns or nothing.

The left-hander hasn't seen much of the strike in the last 20 minutes or so, but cashes in on a wide one from Neil Wagner to send it to the cover boundary.

    Lovely from Dan Lawrence!

He's on the back foot, moving away to leg and exposing all of his stumps, to superbly pick the gap through the covers to pick up his first boundary.

That shot will give him a lot of confidence.

This has been a very key session for the match. It looked like Burns and Sibley would continue to stifle New Zealand but those three quick wickets put them back into the game and now Ollie Pope is gone, the visitors are on top.

Dan Lawrence gets off the mark with a nudge into the on-side.

A very good decision by the umpire.

You can see why Boult liked it though.

It has. Lawrence is a couple of inches outside the line of off stump.

That was a good decision by Richard Kettleborough, but Lawrence got in an absolute tangle.

There's no bat - it's hit both pads.

Has it hit outside the line?

Did that swing back in enough? This is marginal.

Trent Boult is adamant he's got Dan Lawrence out lbw here.

He was making the T sign straight away.

    Ouch! That is harsh, John.

I think there are a lot of people who think Ollie Pope is good enough. We've seen he is and at 23 he's only going to improve.

He needs to work on his game against spin, and learn to understand it is ok to defend from your crease and play out dot balls, but that will come. He is a great talent.

There is no way that Ollie Pope would get picked for England if he played for an unfashionable county. Not good enough.

Quite an exit from Ollie Pope. The right hand he gave to the back of his bat would have tested Tyson Fury's jaw. It was followed by a word you wouldn't repeat in front of your parents.
