It's been a difficult day for me. My caps record has gone; my Barmy Army song has gone. What's next? My car.
Eng 108-3
Back-to-back maidens from New Zealand.
That'll be drinks too.
England have lost three wickets for 41 runs, from 14 overs, in that hour. You can watch the wickets to fall below.
Double change for New Zealand as Trent Boult, who got through nine overs on his return to the side in the morning session, replaces Neil Wagner.

The raucous Edgbaston crowd are singing Rory Burns name now. The 18,000 or so that are in are absolutely loving being back at the cricket.
Burns plays out a maiden, to stay on 49.
First change for New Zealand in this session as Daryl Mitchell replaces Matt Henry.
Henry picked up two crucial wickets in that spell.

A lovely clip by Ollie Pope. Didn't try to hit it too hard or too square, which is when that shot gets you in trouble.
Ollie Pope looked good at Lord's in the first innings, before getting out. He's started nicely here again as he picks up a couple through square leg, before an all-run four through mid-wicket.
He always looks best when he's busy.
Who said Wagner was a bouncer specialist...?
Shot!
Rory Burns does look in really good rhythm today. He crunches a drive to the cover boundary to bring up England's hundred and move to within one of a half-century.
The big one.

Charlie: Re: Jimmy. Is there a better cricketing memory of him than Mitchell Johnson chirping that he wasn't getting wickets, only to see the the stumps get demolished the very next ball?
George Nixon: The send-off to Mitchell Johnson in 2011 was pretty good but got to be his Trent Bridge 10-fer in 2013, especially the ball to Michael Clarke in the first innings.
Burns 45, Pope 4
Neil Wagner and New Zealand move Ajaz Patel out on the hook, but it is the double bluff as Neil Wagner sends one across Ollie Pope, before an in-swinger which the Surrey batsman does well to defend.

Stood next to Jimmy at my sister's wedding and at around 1am as the DJ was packing away he pleaded for one last song. Reluctantly the DJ agreed much to Jimmy's delight. Still makes me smile to this day as it was Take That with Never Forget.

Ollie Pope has struggled against outswing in his Test career - averaging just 19.6 against balls that swing away from him.
That's nice from Ollie Pope as he brings up three with a back-foot on-drive. He showed lovely balance there. He's a delight to watch when everything is working properly.
Rory Burns also adds three, to move to 44, as he bunts a horrid full toss from Matt Henry back down the ground.
Considering the sun we've had, this outfield is slow.

Zak Crawley looked a bit frazzled, as you do when you're struggling for form.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Ollie Pope play. I love watching him. He's so attacking. But then he's got a rebuilding job to do here.
Neil Wagner is just a really likeable character isn't he. He's appeals like he's got Ollie Pope plumb in front with one that first of all pitches outside leg, is then going to be going down, may even be too high.
England have got three overs without losing a wicket. Just a gentle reminder that Mark Wood, who averages 16 in Test cricket, is down to come down at number eight.

Jeanna Louise Skinner:The noise of this Barmy Army Edgbaston crowd is making me tear up. So happy to have Test cricket back!
Andy Thomas: That noise! There are going to be some sore heads at Edgbaston later today and tomorrow!
