  2. Eng 16-0published at 7 overs

England's scoring has dried up for the moment. A second maiden over in a row for New Zealand.

Pressure building or just Burns and Sibley being watchful?

This is the 12th time a side has needed a stand-in captain during a Test series in England. The last time a stand-in captain, for the visiting side, won a Test match in England was 1961 when Neil Harvey stood in for Richie Benaud at Lord's.

  5. Eng 16-0published at 6 overs

A fairly uneventful maiden over from Matt Henry to Dom Sibley.

Dom Sibley wearing the same muddy jumper from Sunday is just the reason why he's loved by the whole country!

    Sam

I trust Dom Sibley will be getting a team fine for turning up with a dirty jumper?

    Burns 6, Sibley 6

Burns and Sibley rotate the strike well before Sibley capitalises on a full, straight one from Boult last up to clip it away through mid-wicket for a well-run three.

Paul Mitchell: I’m wondering if this is statistically the weakest batting line-up England have fielded in a Test Match. If everyone matches their Test average we score 241.

New Zealand are only the second team in history to make six changes or more for the second Test of a series.

  12. Eng 11-0published at 4 overs

Matt Henry swings it too far down the leg side and the ball flicks off Rory Burns' pads and away for two leg byes.

Swing, but not that much zip from Boult as Burns plays him watchfully.

The last delivery is too full and Burns tucks it away off his toes for a single.

Knowing England's penchant for nonsense over the past few years, Dan Lawrence is going to take a 10-for with his off-spin in this match.

Has Jack Leach offended someone? 29 wickets in 6 tests during the winter. Career average of 29. Rewarded with another summer carrying drinks.

It is disappointing for Jack Leach. I imagine he's thinking 'what do I have to do to get a game of cricket here?'.

The four seam bowlers are four fantastic bowlers and they've got all the bases covered. But the pitch does look like it'll turn.

I don't think we'll see the spinner come back in until Ben Stokes returns because of the balance of the side.

Tidier from Matt Henry to finish as Dom Sibley defends the rest of the over.
