That was very unselfish of Stevens.

I think he was desperate to get Cox back on strike but he was never going to get there was he.

Stevens run out 12 (Kent 141-6)

Darren Stevens fancies the off-side against Marchant de Lange, but a dot ball is followed by a single and he loses the strike.

It doesn't matter as Jordan Cox picks up the next one superbly and clears the mid-wicket boundary for six.

Cox wants two from the next but it's too much for 45-year-old Stevens, who is beaten by the throw to the bowler's end.

Darren Stevens is having a say. What a good shot.

It feels like this game could be decided on who wins these next balls.

What can the Kent Spitfires muster?

  4. 6 runs

    Kent 133-5published at 18 overs

Craig Overton is back and gives Jordan Cox too much width and he square cuts in orthodox fashion for four.

A single gives Darren Stevens the strike and he takes a couple of paces down the pitch before smashing the ball over mid-wicket for six.

Stevens takes one to deep backward square and Jordan Cox collects two to end a productive over for Kent - 150+ is on again.

  5. Kent 118-5published at 17 overs

Finally, it is Marchant de Lange, Somerset's quickest bowler.

After three singles, Jordan Cox goes aerial and even though he doesn't time it, it clears mid-on and they take two.

A couple more ones follow and there are three overs - 18 balls left. Jordan Cox is 20 not out and Darren Stevens has three.

    It's a crucial wicket.

Wickets at this stage are so important because you don’t want to be facing batters who have been at the crease for a long period of time.

It's a good catch coming out of the night sky.

  7. wicket

    Leaning c Green b Davey 27 (Kent 111-5)

Still no Marchant de Lange in this final as Josh Davey returns.

It's a good over for Somerset which becomes great as Jack Leaning tries a baseball shot off the final ball and top edges to Ben Green at square leg.

Here comes Darren Stevens, with four overs left in the innings.

  8. Kent 105-4published at 15 overs

Great diving effort by Craig Overton but he can't save a boundary as Jack Leaning pulls Lewis Goldsworthy. Good running by the Kent pair through the over and they achieve the 10+ they need. Five to come.

Van der Merwe finishes with a quite magnificent 3-19 from four overs.

Characters like him are so important when you get to these finals games.

  10. Kent 93-4published at 14 overs

Roelof van der Merwe squeezes one under the bat as Jack Leaning advances down the track but keeper Tom Banton can't make the stumping as the ball strikes his left pad.

Apart from a leg-side wide, it's another great over by the Dutchman, who completes his allocation with figures of 3-19.

Six overs to come - 10 an over would take Kent past 150.

I would put this innings at about the 160 mark and it would be difficult to defend anything less than that.

  12. dropped catch

    Kent 84-4published at 13 overs

Jack Leaning drills a chest-high return catch back to Ben Green but the Somerset seamer can't hold it. Leaning tries to slog sweep the next and a top edge flies away over the keeper for four runs.

He has 17 and Jordan Cox is on two.

  13. Kent 76-4published at 12 overs

Jordan Cox tries to reverse sweep the final ball of the over but fails to make contact. In his frustration, he swishes the bat the other way and almost hits keeper Tom Banton in the head.

Partner Jack Leaning is 11 not out, but they've come from 17 balls.

Looks like Kent may need some Darren Stevens magic.

Huge moment for Somerset and particularly Goldsworthy getting the prize scalp of Crawley.

He’s rocked back as he has done a few times but he has not found the gap and popped it straight down Lammonby’s throat.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 11.2 overs

    Crawley c Lammonby b Goldsworthy 41 (Kent 75-4)

    That's the one they wanted.

Lewis Goldsworthy switches ends and Zak Crawley tries to pull his second delivery but doesn't middle it and Tom Lammonby runs round to his left to take a safe catch. Somerset very much on top now, even though the outfield is starting to get a bit slippy in places.

Van der Merwe’s first ball was hit for four but he’s taken 3-7 since then.

  17. Kent 74-3published at 11 overs

Somerset 'won' overs five to 10 - how will Kent respond?

A bowling change sees seamer Ben Green on for Lewis Goldsworthy.

He gets away with a full toss as Zak Crawley miscues to mid-on and they can only go through for one.

Green serves up another to end the over, but this one is higher, and there'll be a free hit. But it's a slower ball and Crawley makes no contact.

Van der Merwe is racing through the overs.

He’s giving the batsmen limited time to get a game plan together.

He’s trying to sneak balls in.

  19. Kent 65-3published at 10 overs

This is fabulous stuff by Roelof van der Merwe. Three dot balls start his latest over and Kent batsman Jack Leaning has to hustle to get home safely for a single from the next. The last ball is shorter in length but again Leaning's pull shot only brings one. Van der Merwe has 3-11 from three now.
