That’s the earliest stumping in a T20 innings in Blast history and only the twelfth time there has been a stumping within two balls.

168-8 this afternoon. 167-7 this evening. Good grouping from Kent.

And once again they were reliant on two main contributors.

Daniel Bell-Drummond and Darren Stevens earlier. Now Jordan Cox and Zak Crawley, with a little late Stevens cameo thrown in.

For those who like bit of mathematical symmetry though, you have to appreciate what DBD did.

Missed out on a ton earlier, on 82. So what does he do? He comes back in and gets exactly 18 to give him a round 100 for the day. And not too many, if any, have done that before!

  3. Somerset 1-1 - target 168published at 1 over

A single to Lewis Goldsworthy is the only run from the over. Somerset are going to have to do this hard way - and clearly we talked Tom Banton up too much earlier on.

What a delivery! The master Shane Warne would have been proud of that.

What a fantastic bit of cricket.

It’s a shame for Banton but there’s not a lot you can do when you get balls like that.

    Surely not.

Joe Denly finds a bit of turn and Tom Banton overbalances as he pushes forward. It's fatal as Sam Billings whips off the bails.

What a start for Kent or Somerset, depending whether you are excited or deflated by that wicket.

Wizard of Fire: Throughout the season, Kent have batted first a lot and there have been times where it's looked they are below the par score. Only for the fielding to flip the match. Going to have to do the same.

Joe Denly will open the bowling for Kent.

Tom Banton and Will Smeed are the Somerset openers.

Kent batsman Jordan Cox speaking to Sky Sports:

"It seems like the pitch has been the same throughout.

"The slower pitched balls are sticking a little bit so we might try some of that.

"Thankfully I came out today and I did alright.

"I think I was 10 off 10 and then thought I’m going to take this bowler down."

    Kent 167-7 v Somerset - innings break

Everything was looking good for Somerset while their slower bowlers were operating, but Jordan Cox's knock turned the innings around for Kent.

It's a decent total, but remember, they scored 168-8 against Somerset at Canterbury in June and Tom Banton and Devon Conway knocked off the runs by the 16th over without losing a wicket.

No Conway in this game, though.

Final ball of the innings and Jordan Cox thumps it down the ground.

It beats the fielders' despairing dive and Cox finishes with 58 not out from 28 balls as Kent add 102 in the second half of their innings.

It’s a massive innings from Cox.

I think Davey has bowled that where wanted to but Cox has got hold of it.

What a knock that is, it could be match-winning.

    Ged Scott

There was brief speculation when Darren Stevens came in to bat just now as to how a man of 45's eyesight would hold up at this time of night under the Edgbaston lights?

    We quickly got our answer.

Craig Overton brutally smashed back over wide mid on for six.

What a shot! What a player!

Just not so sure about the running between the wickets though.

It was the only way anyone was going to get him out today!!!

Marchant de Lange overpitches on leg stump and it's a brilliant shot by Jordan Cox over square leg for his second six of the over.

He swings at the last and a top edge falls to ground behind the keeper and they take two.

One over left - Cox has 42 and Grant Stewart has yet to score.
