That was a great choice to go for the review from England. It was worth going for because another wicket here and it's turned into England's day because Raj can bat for days on end.

    Raj c Beaumont b Ecclestone 2 (Ind 183-4)

They didn't look convinced with the appeal but she's gone. A brilliant review from England.

Raj got forward, a big inside edge deflected off the pad and looped up to Tammy Beaumont at short leg.

    A huge wicket.

Has Raj been caught at short leg off the bowling of Ecclestone? Given not out. England take an age to review, but they go for it.

After the nightwatcher experiment fails, India captain Mithali Raj is the new batter in.

Just as we saw with England yesterday, the tourists are also suffering a mini collapse late in the day.

Nat Sciver is causing issues with her off-cutters but Raut is off the mark with a couple to cover.

    Pandey c & b Knight 0 (Ind 179-3)

Whether it's nightwatchman or nightwatcher, she's gone for a duck as the England captain strikes.

There's a bit of turn from Knight and Pandey chips it straight back to the bowler.

Late wickets here for England and the pressure is firmly on India.

Do we say nightwatchman in women's cricket? Or nightwatcher? I've never thought of that one because I'm so used to watching women's limited-overs cricket that I've never seen one used.

In the midst of all that, I forgot to mention that Shikha Pandey is the new batter in.

Amy Jones thought she'd heard something, she went up for it but she didn't review. Always tough for a keeper, when you may not be 100% sure on whether to call the review or not.

  11. Ind 179-2published at 54.4 overs

Now then, this is a fail from England. Raut leaves a delivery outside off and the ball goes through to Amy Jones behind the stumps. The wicketkeeper thinks she's heard a noise but England don't review.

Replays show it did indeed come off the batter's glove.

Play had gone a bit stale since Verma got out, in the past 10 or fifteen minutes. Mandhana thought it was time for her to accelerate, but she's miscued it. Two new batters at the crease now and Mithali Raj has sent in a nightwatchman for her.

    Mandhana c Brunt b Sciver 78 (Ind 179-2)

Big wicket for England and both openers are now gone!

It's a smart piece of bowling from Nat Sciver who delivers an off-cutter, Smriti Mandhana is too early on the shot and lofts it up to Brunt at mid-off.

Talking of reasons to go off for a break, in an England warm-up game Sarah Taylor once went off retired hungry. She was feeling light-headed and said she needed to go off for some food.

Isa Guha also had to stop mid run-up once, snapped hairband stopped play. Classic.

    India trail by 217 runs

While many players would still be fuming at being dismissed four shy of a debut Test century, Shafali Verma has changed into her training gear and seems to be smiling as she watches on from the sidelines.

Mandhana nudges Knight to mid-wicket for a single, before Raut sees off the over. She'll be itching for that first run.

Plenty of leaves from Raut here, something we haven't seen much from India today. She'll do that all day if England let her. It's like she's daring Heather Knight to bowl at her stumps.

England captain Heather 'Trev' Knight bowls her third consecutive maiden. Raut is yet to score, she's now faced 12 balls.

Just over half an hour left in the day's play.

I feel for Raut here. She's just got to the crease, faced a maiden, still on a duck having built up some serious pad rash, and then she's now had to take another five minute break just as she's getting into the frame of mind for batting.
