    India trail by 254 runs

Oh Shafali Verma, that is cracking shot. The opener waits back patiently, opens the face of the bat and elegantly punches a wide ball off the back foot for four. Kate Cross and the England fielders can only stand back and admire.

Ecclestone is such a clever bowler, mixing up her pace and finding some turn out of the rough. Just the single from it.

Play can go on until 18:30 BST today so plenty of time left in the day.

Ben Fulford: Loving catching up with the videos of both England and India batting today. Such fluency, power, style and timing from both Dunkley and Verma on debut.

Kate Cross is back into the attack and makes something happen straight away, a length delivery popping up on Verma and looping up into the leg side.

If you haven't heard the No Balls podcast, presented by Cross and TMS pundit Alex Hartley, then give it a go. It's brilliant. England seamer Chris Woakes was the guest in this series' first episode.

Just dragged short by Ecclestone and Mandhana wasn't missing that. Tammy Beaumont took evasive cover at short leg.

Ecclestone darts in a quicker ball, it finds a thick outside edge off Mandhana's bat and squirts into the off side.

A little bit shorter from Ecclestone and Mandhana pulls through square leg, just out of reach of the fielder, and the ball races through for four.

Shafali Verma's aggressive approach from earlier this session has been tamed by Anya Shrubsole.

The seamer is using all of her experience to make run-scoring difficult. Just the one from the over.

Shafali Verma steps back in her crease, looks to cut Ecclestone and nearly edges it into the hands of Amy Jones behind the stumps.

Three from the over. There's spin and bounce coming from that rough, I can't see Ecclestone's spell coming to an end anytime soon.

I'd like to see Ecclestone varying her pace a bit more here, just to keep Verma guessing.

There's a short leg and slip in place as Ecclestone continues. She's gone for 34 from her nine overs.

Anya Shrubsole has stemmed the flow of runs a bit since coming into the attack. The seamer bowling full or back of a length, India happy to just to take the one single.

The tourists now trail England by 272 runs.

You can see Ecclestone trying to exploit that rough outside Mandhana's off stump, and she's doing it well.

Ecclestone bowls a wayward line, Mandhana helps herself to four down to fine leg.

The bowler responds with a straighter line and has one delivery which pops up on Mandhana. There is definitely enough in this pitch for the spinner.

It was hit low on the bat by Mandhana. Dunkley was tumbling to her right, she actually had it but the ball just spilled out as she hit the deck.

Mandhana was dropped by Kate Cross earlier and this time it's Sophie Dunkley who spills a tough chance.

Anya Shrubsole bowls a full toss, Mandhana punches it to Dunkley at cover and the England debutant can't get her hands down quick enough.
