England have given the India openers something to think about here because the ball is swinging.
And now we get a chance to see 17-year-old Verma to face Shrubsole, who is probably still buzzing from her explosive batting.
She defends her first few balls solidly before trying to whip one through the leg-side which she misses. Some cries for lbw but nothing from the bowler.
Another maiden.

Anya Shrubsole will be dangerous with the inswinging ball and Katherine Brunt will be the angry fast bowler. She's getting better and better with age that girl.
Mandhana drives the first ball beautifully but straight to cover. Bit of swing straight away for Brunt.
A maiden to start.

There's no bounce on this pitch but I think Katherine will give it a go.
It looks like Shafali Verma is opening - I'm very excited to see this. She was a joy to watch in the T20 World Cup in Australia last year, so it'll be interesting to see how she approaches the longest format.
Here come India's openers, Verma and Smriti Mandhana, to face Katherine Brunt with the new ball.

England have ensured India have tired minds and tired legs.
And here's that glorious six from Shrubsole.

Sophia (Ivy Rose) Dunkley's initials are SIR... Sir Dunkley.

Dan O'Brien: Great stuff from England this morning.
Sophia Dunkley finishes 74 not out. What a debut - she looked very assured at the crease and played some wonderful shots, including this delightful drive to the boundary.

That was an England record partnership for the ninth wicket.
Heather Knight signals England's declaration as soon as Shrubsole started to walk off.
This will be a big task for India, who have a very exciting batting line-up but very little Test match experience.

It's a mammoth total that. England would have been happy with 350-plus, Heather Knight said, so to get 396 is brilliant. They're in such a strong position now.
Shrubsole b Rana 47 (Eng 369-9)
Shrubsole goes down the track and helps herself to another four from Rana to take her to 47 off 33 balls, but goes for another leg-side heave and completely misses a straight one from Rana that just kept a little low.

We might see the Kate Cross 'paddle' shot this afternoon. I am very excited to see that in a Test match. She has promised to play it "if the opportunity allows".
This is astonishing hitting and real intent from England. Shrubsole and Dunkley take a four each, including a bit of white-ball innovation from the latter who sweeps Pandey behind square leg.
12 off that over.

This has been the most exciting passage of play we've had.

This is getting dangerous for India.
