  1. NZ 195-9published at 44 overs

Just the single off Sophie Ecclestone, a leg-bye. The England spinner fist bumps Tammy Beaumont at the end of the over.

At the halfway stage of this match, many considered New Zealand to be the favourites but England have bowled with real discipline. Although this New Zealand pair are slightly frustrating the hosts here.

New Zealand will be disappointed with how they've gone in this run chase. They've been there or thereabouts with the run rate the whole innings but losing wickets has let them down.

  3. NZ 194-9published at 43 overs

Commitment! Kate Cross dives full stretch at deep point to stop a boundary.

    Five from Freya Davies' over.

Sophie Ecclestone is annoyed with herself but with respect to the batter, that's beautifully placed.

  5. NZ 188-9published at 42 overs

Love this! New Zealand's number 11 plays a paddle shot to score a boundary off Sophie Ecclestone.

Kasperek then plays an elegant cover drive for four more.

  6. NZ 178-9published at 41 overs

Leigh Kasperek is the new batter in and it's now just a case of when, not if, for England.

That's a well executed slower ball out of the back of the hand. Tahuhu was enjoying the pace on the ball, so it's good awareness of Freya Davies to change that.

    Tahuhu b Davies 25 (NZ 177-9)

Tahuhu's exciting cameo comes to an end! It's the slower ball, out of the back of Freya Davies hand, which proves to be the batter's downfall. Davies bowls full and Tahuhu is too early on the shot and looks back to see the bails scattered by her feet.

    England are one wicket away.

At the 40 over mark New Zealand are 170-8, and England were 174-5. It just shows how crucial that Knight-Brunt partnership was.

Charlie Dean just drags that one a bit short because she's wary of Tahuhu lining her up to hit the fuller one straight down the ground.

  11. NZ 170-8published at 40 overs

    Need 72 runs to win

A miscue from Tahuhu is lofted over the inner field, before a shorter leg-side delivery from Dean is pulled towards fine leg for four.

Tahuhu has played a really entertaining knock so far, she's on 20 from 11.

  12. NZ 161-8published at 39 overs

Just a reminder from Amy Satterthwaite that she's still there as she middles Freya Davies towards the long-on boundary.

Four more to Tahuhu as she makes some room and crunches through the off side. She's not messing about but, unfortunately for her side, it's too late in the day.

Every single one of her team-mates engulfs her in a big hug. What a lovely movement! What I like is that she's not changed a thing despite getting hit around a bit in her first spell.

That shows a lot about her character.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 37.2 overs

    Kerr b Dean (Eng 143-8)

This is a moment Charlie Dean will never, ever, forget.

The spinner has her first wicket in international cricket and it's a superb delivery. It's drifted in and Jess Kerr is beaten, the ball clipping the top of off stump.

Dean's team-mates embrace her and her parents in the stands are, as you'd expect, full of joy. Things you just love to see in cricket.

England's star spinner Sophie Ecclestone took two in two to strengthen her side's hold on this game...

  18. NZ 142-7published at 37 overs

    Target 242

Katherine Brunt bowls back of a length and Jess Kerr is off the mark with a lofted drive over extra cover for four. The England seamer is all smiles, surprisingly.

New Zealand need 100 off 13 overs.

There is absolutely no value in New Zealand just batting for the rest of the overs. They've got to show intent.

  20. NZ 136-7published at 36 overs

Debutant Charlie Dean has had a tough time of it today, and it doesn't get any better as Satterthwaite punishes her with a sweep through mid-wicket for four.

Dean has gone for 35 from her six overs.
