What a fluent drive that was!
Kate Cross drives nicely to the cover boundary for four, and it's a no-ball. What can she do with the free hit?
Katherine Brunt misses out on a loose delivery and is fuming with herself, swiping her bat around in the air in frustration.
She is the key for England now, and she knows it.

The squad England have picked for this series is their best. The only outsider who has a chance of being in the World Cup squad is Eve Jones. She has scored consistent runs all summer and hasn't been called up into any England squads.
We thought the top six was cemented but they keep failing and having these batting collapses. Is it worth trying something different? She offers something different as well with her being left handed.
If Jones was to come into the side she has to play her role in the team. You can't pick her to play at seven because that isn't where she bats or where she scores her runs. She would have to play in the top three.

Too many of these top order batters getting a game on reputation, time to wield the axe!
Andy, York
Lea Tahuhu, who only has two overs left, is brought back on in attempt to mop up the tail quickly.
Another threatening over goes for just one, but still no way past Brunt's defence.

England don't necessarily have a tail because Tash Farrant and Kate Cross both bat higher for their domestic teams so they are capable of batting time.
Just the start New Zealand would've wanted after the drinks break.
Kate Cross blocks out the rest of the over and it's a wicket maiden. She can definitely bat, too - can she hang around with Brunt long enough?

It is the first ball after drinks again for England. They lost Amy Jones first ball after the drinks break, and they've lost Sophie Ecclestone now.
Ecclestone lbw b Kasperek 8 (Eng 101-8)
Bang in front of the stumps. The drinks break ends Ecclestone's resistance.
It's a pretty standard delivery, full and straight and the batter just misses it completely, trying to play it into the leg side. New Zealand will be delighted with that because Ecclestone and Brunt were being very stubborn.

That looked out. From front on it looked pretty straight.
Sophie Ecclestone is given out lbw on the field, and goes for a review.
I think it's optimistic. This looks very out.
Here's the moment Lea Tahuhu claimed her maiden ODI five-wicket haul, ending Charlie Dean's stubborn resistance.

It is a tricky situation for England. They could attack and get bowled out for 150. They could bat the overs and get bowled out for 150.
They've probably just got to bat time and bat the overs. You don't want to get bowled out within 50 overs.
A great piece of fielding on the boundary from Hayley Jensen saves a four, as multiple replays confirm she doesn't touch the rope after the dive.
No doubt about the next one though, as Molly Penfold gifts Brunt a half-volley to nail through the off side for four and bringing up England's hundred in the process.
It's time for a drink.

New Zealand won't want England to get much more than 120 before they start to get nervous.
Three from Leigh Kasperek's over as Brunt and Ecclestone continue to rotate the strike well.
A quiet period in the game here as England attempt to steady things.

If England can work themselves up a total then the pressure is on the New Zealand batting line up. If they can get up to 130-140 that would give them a chance against the frailty of the batting.
A maiden over from Molly Penfold.
What can England get from here?

You can understand why New Zealand reviewed that because if they are able to get Katherine Brunt out, who is the set batter, then they might have been able to wrap this up quickly.
