This is an interesting choice from England to bring in Charlie Dean ahead of Katherine Brunt.

But I can see why, because Dean plays higher up the order usually and will be more used to batting time. Brunt is much more of an aggressive batter.

Charlie Dean, who is playing just her third ODI, is the new batter.

She is also 20, so we've got 20 v 20 at the moment.

    Things you love to see.

How good is that on your debut! Amy Jones was looking good but Molly Penfold has beaten her for pace! It's jagged back in and taken middle stump.

    Jones b Penfold 21 (Eng 48-5)

A first international wicket for 20-year-old Molly Penfold!

A little bit of movement back from Penfold, and Amy Jones is stuck on the crease, and just beaten a little bit of pace by the 71mph delivery and the ball crashes into middle stump.

Wow, wow, wow! England are in a massive hole here.

  5. Eng 48-4published at 14 overs

Hayley Jensen, who is playing for the first time in the 50-over series, replaces Sophie Devine and she starts economically, with just a single from her first over.

She beats the bat of a prodding Danni Wyatt to end the over, and seizes some control back for New Zealand after that wayward first Molly Penfold over.

It's a good approach for England to keep attacking, they don't want to become stagnant.

England are finding all their boundaries through the covers. Penfold just tried to go too full and Amy Jones has capitalised.

  9. Eng 47-4published at 13 overs

Danni Wyatt can't fully capitalise on the no-ball, but does pick up a single to deep mid-wicket.

A rank full toss is then slapped to the cover boundary by Amy Jones, before Molly Penfold finishes with a dot ball.

Nine from Penfold's first over in international cricket.

  10. Eng 41-4published at 12.1 overs

Molly Penfold starts with a 68mph delivery, before a MASSIVE no-ball. She is so far over the line.

Here is Molly Penfold. Let's see what the 20-year-old can do on debut...

Molly Penfold is the other New Zealand quick, and on her debut, so she's in a great position to make inroads into England's middle order.

  13. Eng 38-4published at 12 overs

    Four more.

Sophie Devine offers Amy Jones a little bit of width and the England wicketkeeper forces the ball through the off-side field and away to the boundary.

    She's up to 14.

  14. Postpublished at 13:49 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

I've just remembered that we haven't seen debutant Molly Penfold bowl yet. Sophie Devine called her an "absolute beast" at the toss.

    That bodes well for England.

Robin Johnson: First time at a live cricket match in years. My goodness the music after every boundary and over is unbelievably annoying and loud.

  16. Eng 34-4published at 11 overs

Unsurprisingly, alongside the attacking fields, Lea Tahuhu continues and she concedes just two singles from her sixth over.

There's plenty of buzz in the New Zealand fielders.

New Zealand are keeping their attacking field in place even though the powerplay is over, with two slips in - and rightly so!

Here's how England lost the first of their four wickets...

  19. Eng 32-4published at 10 overs

Sophie Devine ends the powerplay with four dot balls.

That is undoubtedly New Zealand's. They are in complete control.

This is such a hard position for the new batter to come in at - they're not even past the powerplay!
