  1. Eng 32-4published at 9.2 overs

Shot! Amy Jones picks up her second boundary with another gorgeous cover drive.

I've just seen a replay of that Sophia Dunkley wicket and she's just playing the wrong line. She's playing for the out-swing and the ball holding its line, and moving back in a tad, just beats her between bat and pad.

These are now Tahuhu's best ODI figures. She currently has 4-19 from five overs.

That is not what England needed - they needed these two to stay together as long as possible. Tahuhu has gone full and straight, it's nipped back in past Dunkley's defence.

    Dunkley b Tahuhu 6 (Eng 27-4)

What a delivery! What a start for New Zealand!

Lea Tahuhu has been finding plenty of shape away, but this ball holds it line and Sophia Dunkley's defence is just beaten.

Dunkley was a bit stuck on the crease, and there was zero foot movement, though.

There are no words to describe how much bother England are in here. New Zealand are ALL over them.

What I like about this from New Zealand is they're keeping it simple, just attacking the stumps and bowling full.

My friend has just text me saying she's off to pad up. She hasn't picked up a bat for over 10 years.

Be interesting to see how she coped with Lea Tahuhu in this sort of form.

England do have a bit of a problem when it comes to batting first. Today is the fifth time they've tried to set a total in the ODIs they've played this year. They've been bowled out in their previous four attempts, and this inauspicious start does not bode well...

  8. Eng 23-3published at 8 overs

New Zealand are all over England here. There's plenty of noise from the White Ferns.

England are going to need to dig in, re-build and bat significant time. They have to bat through the 50 overs today, and avoid being bowled out.

The New Zealand fielders will certainly be letting Sophia Dunkley know she's under pressure.

You can always tell when the team in the field is dominating because every innocuous no ball, even when nothing happens, is cheered like a wicket!

  11. Eng 21-3published at 7 overs

Looking back at the replays of that Heather Knight wicket, it is a really soft dismissal. It is such a nothing shot. It would have rolled to cover for a dot ball, and it has ended up costing her her wicket.

Sophia Dunkley keeps the strike with a single down to fine leg.

There was a hint of away movement, Knight nibbled at it and that's a good low catch from Katey Martin.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 6.1 overs

    Knight c Martin b Tahuhu 6 (Eng 20-3)

    England are in BIG trouble!

Lea Tahuhu finds a little bit of shape away and Heather Knight is tempted into playing at it and gets a healthy edge through to Katey Martin, who takes a good low catch.

Tahuhu has three wickets. England are in all sorts of bother.

Enid Bakwell got stopped at the gates this morning as she made her way into the ground. We tried to persuade her to pull the "don't you know who I am?" card but she's far too nice for that.

  16. Eng 20-2published at 6 overs

Lovely from Amy Jones. She picks up her first boundary with a lovely threaded drive through the covers.

She has opened the batting for England in 22 one-day internationals so being in this early shouldn't phase her too much.

Straight away New Zealand bring in a short midwicket for Amy Jones, where she's got out a couple of times in the series so far.

  18. Eng 16-2published at 5 overs

England wicketkeeper Amy Jones is the new batter. She really needs a score today - she has only scored three runs in the first two games of this series.

Perhaps most worryingly is the tame way she's chipped to mid-wicket in both innings (you can watch the one from Sunday's second ODI below).

She gets off the mark straight away with a single, before failing to capitalise on a free hit, hitting it straight up in the air to mid-off.

Lea Tahuhu has put in a brilliant opening spell here. For New Zealand now, they've got to make sure they keep backing her up and most importantly, do it with the bat later on too.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 4.2 overs

    Winfield-Hill lbw b Tahuhu 4 (Eng 11-2)

Umpire's call on leg stump! England are in trouble with the bat again.

The technology shows the ball is clipping leg stump, and Sue Redfern's original decision of out stands. New Zealand have two wickets, Lea Tahuhu has two wickets. They are on top.

England will retain their review, at least.
