  1. Eng 176-5published at 62 overs

Jayden Seales goes short. Jonny Bairstow swivels on the spot and pulls down to deep square leg. John Campbell dives to save three runs. Lovely stuff.

This partnership is worth 61. England could have easily capitulated at 48-4 and 115-5.

Nick the unit: Straight away just having Ben Foakes at no 7 gives a more solid and calming look to the side. Jos Buttler always looked a walking wicket and never looked comfortable. Red ball reset begins here at 5 down.

  3. Eng 175-5published at 61 overs

There is very little turn on offer for Permaul. There's plenty of flight but it's easy pickings for England as Foakes hangs back and then drives through mid-off for a couple.

  4. Eng 173-5published at 60 overs

A change in bowling as Jayden Seales returns to the attack.

The 20-year-old squares up Bairstow with one angling into the pads. Bairstow looks at the pitch in a perplexed manner, making a gesture to suggest he thinks it stayed a bit low.

    Two from the over.

And now playing out is Dawn Penn - You Don't Love Me.

  6. Eng 171-5published at 59 overs

Best shot of Ben Foakes' innings. He takes two or three strides down the pitch and elegantly clips Permaul for four.

Whisper it quietly, but these two are looking comfortable out there and the West Indies look slightly weary.

West Indies have just lost their lengths a bit - they were very tight and tidy this morning, but a few long hops have come down this afternoon.

  8. Eng 167-5published at 58 overs

Eek! Bairstow is too late on a cut and nearly chops on! It was probably a bit too close to the stumps to be playing that shot.

Smart running from England as Bairstow prods into the off side and the pair take two.

  9. Eng 165-5published at 57.2 overs

Crunch! Short and wide from Alzarri Joseph and Bairstow slaps the seamer through backward point. Cracking shot.

Whenever Bairstow has to prove something, he seems to produce. He's such a competitor, when the pressure's on, up and down the order, he delivers.

  11. Eng 160-5published at 57 overs

Some stats for you. Jonny Bairstow has scored 50 from 128 balls, with eight boundaries. He really seems to have his eye in now.

  12. 50 runs

    Eng 160-5

That's 50 for Jonny Bairstow. He brings it up in style by carving Permaul through point for four. Well played.

My take on the controversial subject of Sweet Caroline. I was at the Manchester Arena a few weeks ago for Amir Khan v Kell Brook. There was quite a buzz when hearing 22,000 fans (badly) singing it at the top of their voices. I loved it. But every time I hear it when watching on TV or listening on radio, it irritates me.

The DJ here in Antigua has been rolling out the crowd-pleasers... Wonderwall, You're Just Too Good To Be True... but I reckon Sweet Caroline is being saved for the last hour or so

Told you. Going down the leg side and too high.

    As we were.

  16. West Indies reviewpublished at 55.2 overs

    Eng 155-5

Jonny Bairstow is on the back foot and is hit high on the front pad by Joseph. West Indies' appeal is turned out but, right at the final second, the hosts decide to review.

    This isn't out.

  17. Eng 155-5published at 55.2 overs

Frankie Valli's 'I love you baby' is now the choice of song being played by The Barmy Army trumpeter. It is then drowned out by some Oasis from the resident DJ.

    A maiden from Permaul.

  18. Eng 155-5published at 54 overs

Close! Bairstow pulls to mid-wicket and it falls agonisingly short of John Campbell. The England batter then plays a delightful backfoot punch through extra cover for four.

We've seen plenty of quiet moments in this game but that, in comparison, was a relatively eventful over. Ten from it.

That was the first streaky shot from Bairstow, who has played with great application so far

  20. Eng 149-5published at 53.2 overs

Joseph and his fielders have heads in hands as Jonny Bairstow cuts through the gap between slip and fully in a very unconvincing fashion.
