  1. Eng 137-9published at 65.0 overs

England's longest last-wicket partnership since 2014, Ian Bishop has just said on commentary.

Saqib Mahmood with a big waft to a full one from Kemar Roach which he misses by a country mile.

These two look quite untroubled at the moment.

Jason Holder on now as Kraigg Brathwaite shuffles his pack in search of the formula to take this final England wicket.

A maiden from the West Indies all-rounder follows as Saqib Mahmood hangs in there.

Think we need to reset talk of the reset.

Jack Leach has also grown in confidence and fends off the final few balls of a Kyle Mayers over with his usual stoicism.

England crawling along like a learner driver on duel carriageway for the first time at the moment. Valuable runs, though.

Tidy from Saqib Mahmood who looks a fairly organised batter now those initial nerves have gone. He's got a good defence, and looks capable of playing the odd shot.

He square drives Kemar Roach for a couple in that over. Batting looks to be getting a little easier, although still plenty in it for the bowlers.

Samuel: Can we just turn our batting lineup around? The bowlers seem to do better than the actual batters most the time.

    *Eyes emoji.

Kyle Mayers, not seen since he bagged the wickets of Zak Crawley and Joe Root, is back into the attack as Kraigg Brathwaite goes for guile over pace.

Round the wicket to the left-handed Jack Leach who works him nicely off his pads for a single to get Saqib Mahmood on strike.

The first runs he's given away in this Test match.

His fourth ball finds a thick edge off Mahmood's bat which falls just short of Jason Holder at second slip.

Pedestrian from England's tail as they eke out ones and twos there.

Jayden Seales finishes his over by peppering Saqib Mahmood with short stuff before a full one which takes a leading edge and runs away for a couple.

Motown Marvin: I think England should declare now and give themselves some time at the West Indies batters tonight. No point scoring at two an over now with final pair killing time.

  14. Eng 124-9published at 58.4 overs

Alzarri Joseph has cranked up the speed a notch or two as he looks to knock one of England's last pair over.

Saqib Mahmood gets himself in line and confidently punches Joseph down the ground for a couple.

    He even holds the pose.

Jayden Seales is looking a little impatient. There's a cold glass of isotonic sports drink with his name on it waiting for him when this is wrapped up.

Jack Leach and Saqib Mahmood are flapping and fending off some shorter stuff from West Indies paceman. A couple more to England's total.

Edward Poole: Is Jack Leach the long sought answer to England's opening batter conundrum?

  18. ouch!

    Eng 121-9published at 57.0 overs

Jack Leach expects a short ball from Alazarri Joseph but instead has to wear one in midships. More signs of that uneven bounce.

Saqib Mahmood and Leach able to nudge and nurdle two more runs off that over. Don't think either of these two will be going down in a blaze of glory.

This wicket should be the kind of surface which suits Chris Woakes and England need to get early wickets. Yes, 20 or 30 runs here are important but already they will be thinking about how many West Indies will be down at the close.

Thanks Nic. My colleague Callum actually had the reins during England's collapse so you can pin most of the blame on him. I just had the top order failure to contend with.

Jack Leach is given a short wide from Jayden Seales and a waft of the willow sees the ball fly up and over the slips. Two more to the total.
