Ben Stokes is up and running with a nudge off his hips for a single.

There's a little bit of chat from the West Indies fielders, but not much considering England are effectively -61 for three.

This is the thing about momentum in a Test match. 90 odd runs is a lot. We've seen Ben Stokes do it before from desperate positions.

Jason Holder is on now - not a bad fourth bowler, eh.

He starts with a maiden with Alex Lees happy to block and leave. The opener has six from 40 balls.

England are on the skids here. That ball kept very low to Lawrence.

That was a misjudgement - it was too close to leave, but the ball did keep low. It feels like it could be a procession - it's up to Stokes to make sure that's not the case.

Joshua da Silva, fresh off his maiden Test century in Windies' first innings, is up to the stumps straight away for Ben Stokes.

The England all-rounder likes to move around and put bowlers off their line and length so the hosts are keen to stop him doing that before he even starts doing it.

Da Silva does miss a delivery though and the ball runs away for four byes. That's 12 in this innings now - England's highest scorer, obviously.

It was a tired shot from Joe Root and a lack of judgment from Dan Lawrence. England are in big trouble.

Time for Benjamin Andrew Stokes to stand up. Once again.

In the final Ashes Test when England lost on the third day and folded to 124 all out - having been 68-0 - it felt inevitable that the next wicket would come, and another would soon follow.

This sort of feels like that already.

More of the Kyle Mayers magic. Dan Lawrence attempts to be watchful, attempts to play cautiously but leaves one alone and hears that dreaded death rattle.

    Bowled shouldering arms!

My, my, my! Kyle Mayers has two wickets again.

Dan Lawrence was looking to play himself in, so he looks to leave Mayers alone, but the ball comes back in ever so slightly and clips the outside of off stump.

England are effectively -66 for three. They are in a mess. This Test could end today.

Alex Lees blocks and leaves another maiden.

How do he and Dan Lawrence approach this now. We know that the latter likes to play his shots and be proactive but it is a fine balance at the moment between doing that, knocking off the deficit, while valuing your wicket.

Kyle Mayers has the knack of getting good wickets, and key wickets. England are in a bit of trouble. There is a lot of pressure on Alex Lees and Dan Lawrence now. Players kept saying it gets easier to bat after 40 overs - but England are a long way from there at the moment.

It was a poor shot from Root, flashing outside the off stump, but it was a brilliant catch, very high to his right, and going quickly.

Big challenge for Dan Lawrence here.

Dan Lawrence keeps out his first three deliveries.

"I told him in the dressing room!" I can hear one of the Windies players saying. I presume Kyle Mayers to someone.

The hosts are well and truly on top.

He's done it again! Would you believe it? All it's taken Kyle Mayers this time is three balls. It's a really strong area for Joe Root but his reaction tells the whole story. Magic Mayers. What a wicket that is. It didn't do much, just a little bit wide with a bit of bounce.

    Root c Campbell b Mayers 5 (Eng 27-2)

Kyle Mayers has got Joe Root again!

He got him in the first innings and he's got him in the second innings. It's loose from Root, very loose. It's in the channel - probably about sixth stump line - and it catches a thick edge as he looks to drive away and John Campbell takes a smart catch at head height, with his arms fully outstretched to his right.

Root smacks his bat against the turf as he walks off and flays it through the air. Is that the last time we see the Yorkshireman bat as England captain? Time will tell.

Boundary for Alex Lees. It's streaky, but relatively safe truth be told.

It's really wide from Jayden Seales so the England opener throws his hands at it and the ball flies away for four through point. If you're going to go, go hard and all that.

Four byes to end the over too, as one keeps low on Joshua da Silva and runs away to the boundary. England will take them however they come.
