Usman Khawaja has been excellent so far.

Enjoy all the best moments of his "phenomenal" century...

  3. Aus 336-7published at 115 overs

Usman Khawaja helps himself to five more off Jack Leach. He's up to 108 now.

Leach just isn't able to build any pressure with a run of dot balls. His field placings are very negative, mind.

It was a very good bouncer. It's the kind of pitch where you put something in, you get something out of it. Stuart Broad really bent his back there. The most important thing with bouncers if they have to be accurate.

  5. Aus 331-7published at 114 overs

Mitchell Starc leaves alone his first ball.

Stuart Broad stood and applauded the umpires after that review. It's not often he's clapping them.

That was a brute of a ball from Stuart Broad. There was a sound, but don't Australia's players walk if they hit it?! There are jeers from the crowd. He has been given out by the technology when the ball was clearly past the glove. I have not seen that before to be honest.

    Cummins c Buttler b Broad 24 (Aus 331-7)

    Hmmmm. The SCG crowd boo.

There is a snick on snicko, but it is a frame after the ball passes the glove. However, the third umpire says that is within the limit of the technology, so he tells Rod Tucker to reverse his decision.

Stuart Broad has four. That was a brilliant delivery.

The only thing it can have hit - if it has hit anything - is the glove.

  9. Postpublished at 05:17 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2022

    There was a sound live.

It's not a no ball, so that's a good start.

  10. England reviewpublished at 05:17 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2022

Has Stuart Broad got Pat Cummins caught behind?

England were convinced, they appealed twice.

It was a fantastic, brutal bouncer from Broad.

England have to seize the initiative back again. They lost it before tea.

  12. Aus 331-6published at 113 overs

A single apiece for Usman Khawaja and Pat Cummins.

Jack Leach has figures of 0-71 from 21 overs, but he should have one wicket next to his name...

  13. Postpublished at 05:11 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2022

It'll be the left-arm spin of Jack Leach from the other end.

You generally feel at the SCG that if the sun is out, the batting side have the best of the conditions.

  15. Aus 329-6published at 112 overs

Two dot balls end the over. Eight from it though, and that could be a sign of things to come in the next hour or so.

Cummins has played no shot for four!

  17. Aus 325-6published at 111.4 overs

Pat Cummins had peeled his gloves off almost in resigned fashion after the T sign for that review. He thought he was out, but as soon as saw the replay there were doubts.

Ugh. Stuart Broad is shaking his head. Cummins looks to withdraw his bat, but does it so late, the ball hits the bat and goes through the gap in the slip cordon and away for four. When your luck is out...

  18. Not outpublished at 05:07 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2022

Oh. This just sums up England's tour.

    It is missing leg stump.

This is a big moment. England desperately need these wickets.

  20. Postpublished at 05:06 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2022

    There's definitely no bat.

It does look a bit more leggy than it looked live.
