Beauty. Pat Cummins draws Zak Crawley across his stumps and then the ball straightens and goes past the outside edge of the England opener.
He probably didn't need to play at it, based on the line, but it is such a good delivery.
England have survived 17 minutes and four overs today.

Eddie: 2.1 overs into the day and we've had an all-run four and an Australian drop! Is it a sign?
Both of England's openers have had a life now then. Are they good enough to capitalise? We'll find out.
More importantly, are the wheels falling off Australia's Ashes campaign? A no-ball and then a dropped catch - the ill-discipline! (I am definitely joking...)
Four!
Haseeb Hameed slashes away a dismissive back-foot drive/cut off Mitchell Starc and away to the point boundary.

Carey dived too far. It hit the heel of his hand. It was a lovely, lovely ball from Mitchell Starc and Haseeb Hameed had to play it.

That's a mistake by Carey. Warner had it covered and there was no reason for Carey to go for that.
Another slice of luck for England!
Haseeb Hameed has a push at Mitchell Starc and a healthy outside edge goes at a reasonable pace towards the slip cordon and wicketkeeper Alex Carey dives across David Warner at first slip, but drops the chance.
That's a mistake from Carey. It would have been a comfortable for Warner, and he doesn't drop them.

Today has a feeling of a day that could be quite significant in the futures of some careers.
Eeee! Pat Cummins gets one to nip back in and it squares Zak Crawley up slightly and it raps the England opener on the thigh pad. There are yelps of encouragement from the Australia fielders.
It is gloomy at the SCG. These are not nice batting conditions at all.

An all-run four! That's a collectors item. Andy Zaltzman is raising a coffee in celebration.
An all-run four! So exciting.
It is a lovely shot from Zak Crawley pushed through mid-off too.
Unsurprisingly it'll be Australia captain Pat Cummins from the other end.
Haseeb Hameed is able to let the final two balls of the over drift harmlessly by.
England have survived an over. Small steps.

It is going to be tough. The light isn't great, there is a humid feel to the day, and they have Mitchell Starc to face.
Zak Crawley cloths a pull, off the glove, down to fine leg to get England up and running for the day.

That was a decent stroke.
Zak Crawley drives the first ball to mid-on comfortably.
This session will be an hour and 20 minutes. England won't want to lose more than one wicket at most.
It'll be Mitchell Starc to get us going.
Zak Crawley is on strike.
Play.
Both players have just put their pink caps for Jane McGrath Day into a bowl on the boundary edge.
They have been signed by the players and will be auctioned off.
