This partnership has just nullified England somewhat - it is only five and a half overs old, but the sting feels like it has gone a little bit.

Both Cameron Green and Alex Carey pick up quick singles, before the former leg glances fine for four.

Really good start from Chris Woakes. He pretty much tested the inside or outside edge every single delivery.

He had Cameron Green edging short of the slips, edging into his pads and there was a leave that whistled just past off stump.

Can he find a wicket that would get England into the bowlers...?

Mark Wood had 0-74 from his first 10 overs in the match. Since then he has 7-62.

Another change for England, as Chris Woakes replaces Mark Wood.

Wood has taken 4-21 in 10 overs now.

Billings is so loud. I was standing on the balcony of the media centre and could hear every word he was saying.

There's a clear drop in pace with Ollie Robinson lumbering through his back troubles at the other end. Every run is crucial. Australia creep towards a 200-run lead.

Mark Wood has 3-12 this morning. No wonder he looks so happy...

Wood is a completely different bowler to the first innings. He's full of confidence. He's striding back to his mark.

It has been almost exclusively short from Wood this morning - not necessarily what you'd expect in a pink-ball Test.

Alex Carey ducks another couple of thunderbolts.

Here's how Mark Wood and England picked up the wicket of Travis Head for their second success of the morning.

Look at the smile on Wood's face. You can't help but love him.

Eeee! Alex Carey looks to steal a single to square leg, but Cameron Green is a bit slow to set off.

England have a shy at the stumps at the striker's end, but the throw is a couple of inches wide.

A direct hit would have sent Green on his way.

Smith falls to the short ball again. He's had problems since Jofra Archer hit him. Neil Wagner bowled short to him too.

That's an interesting shot given the field. He's just picked out Dawid Malan.

    HELLO!

The short ball works again for England. Steve Smith takes on the hook shot, but picks out Dawid Malan at fine leg. A fairly soft dismissal for the Australian.

Mark Wood and England have three this morning. The door is very slightly - considering their previous batting woes in the Test - is ajar. The lead is currently 178.

More appeals from Stuart Broad and England for lbw, but more not out decisions. One of these has to be out soon, surely?

We've seen two wickets for 26 runs in the first 45 minutes of the day's play.

It's been a friendly series, which does annoy me!

Mark Wood is starting to reap his rewards.

He starts a little bit short to Cameron Green, sending one comfortably over his head, before going round the wicket and testing out the middle of the pitch some more. Hmmm. Not sure about that.

Worth remembering that one of the wickets England have taken is of Australia's number 11 Scott Boland. There is still a fair bit of batting left for the hosts - England will need to pick up these wickets rather quickly to stand a real chance.

Mark Wood is relishing being the enforcer. It flicks the glove on the way through. We've got a game on our hands, but 174 runs is already a long way away for England.
