Jonathan Agnew and Jeremy Coney chatting through the 2019 World Cup final between New Zealand and England on TMS during lunch. Jeremy is adamant the trophy should have been shared, rather than England winning on boundary countback rule. If New Zealand can drag themselves to victory in the World Test Championship final it might help exorcise some of those demons for their players.

A break might help New Zealand more than India just to be able to regroup. It has been fascinating.

Spot on Simon. A thrilling session that wasn't it? Kyle Jamieson and Rishabh Pant both players who relish the big stage. I think everyone is desperately hoping there's still enough time left in the match for a result. It seems to be advantage New Zealand, but all four results are still possible.

It has been the most enthralling session of the game so far. The game has advanced and there is a possibility of an outright victory.

Amitabh: Engrossing first session on day six! This has been a brilliant advert for Test cricket.

And since then, India have hit the accelerator largely thanks to Rishabh Pant who has played like ... well, like Rishabh Pant.

But New Zealand bounced back as Trent Boult claimed a wicket, that of Ajinkya Rahane.

Rishabh Pant has gone to lunch unbeaten and looks as if he wants to make New Zealand pay for this error. How costly will this prove to be?

Kyle Jamieson's perfect game continued as he got New Zealand off to a dream start, getting rid of the two overnight batters, Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara.

After a slow start, the game has really picked up the pace now and that final hour was absolutely fascinating. Proper edge-of-your-seat stuff.

So let's just have a recap of what we've seen so far.

Fantastic bowling from New Zealand. They got rid of the big guns early on and now it is a mad dash for runs from India.

    Jadeja 12, Pant 28

Wagner goes for some short stuff in the final over before lunch.

But Jadeja doesn't bite, he even lets the last ball simply hit him on the body and they wander off for lunch.

Well, what a session that was!

Watling has a long time to rest after today. This is his last day of Test cricket.

    And breathe.

Just a single each for Rahane and Pant off Boult's over. Watling yelps in pain taking the final ball which double-bounced in front of him.

He will not want to go off in his final Test appearance, that's for sure.

This is some of the best Test cricket I have seen for quite a long time.

  16. Ind 127-5published at 53 overs

This game isn't slowing down any time soon! Jadeja pushes one out to point, sets off for yet another close single, and is very nearly run out. The umpires call for a review but he's very quick and made it home safely.

The camera zooms in on Watling's hand as the physio seems to thrust one of his fingers back into place. Lovely.

More runs for India as Jadeja unveils some more beautiful timing with a whip off his legs for four.

There's then a very close call as Jadeja hits the ball to mid-off, sets off for a run but it wasn't there. He scrambles back to his crease from at least halfway down the pitch but Watling's hurt himself there taking Kane Williamson's throw.

There has definitely been a mindset change from India.

  20. Ind 121-5published at 52 overs

    Jadeja 6, Pant 25

Jadeja flicks away for four, flamingo-style. Is this the start of a shift in momentum for India?

These two are very capable of counter-attacking and setting a tricky total for New Zealand. There's a sense that 150-180 will not be an easy chase out there.
