That is a big game. I'm looking forward to that one. England's confidence is sky high and Australia's confidence will be building if they win this.

Watch this once. Watch this twice. Watch this three times.

Then please get in touch if you've managed to work out how Kusal Perera drops this.

Australia haven't allowed Sri Lanka to settle and they've been smoking them around the ground. Davie Warner is looking really treatening.

This is a pretty gruesome spell for Kumara.

  6. Aus 95-2published at 10 overs

    Need 60 from 60 balls

Steve Smith can often look twitchy at the start of his innings. Not today. He outrageously flicks a single through the leg-side before a beautiful checked drive brings up his first boundary.

Lahiru Kumara is having a torrid day to be quite honest. He is short again and David Warner whacks away another pull shot. Kumara has gone for 33 from his two overs.

Sri Lanka have bowled too short and wide on the whole.

Aaron Finch has helped to get his team in a very strong position here.

  8. Aus 82-2published at 9 overs

    Need 73 from 66 balls

Steve Smith is the new batter and he is up and running immediately with a single.

Australia are still in the driving seat but if Sri Lanka can get David Warner out, who knows?

Hasaranga is the massive threat and Maxwell was trying to take him on. That is in his slot but he didn't get it clean enough.

    Maxwell c Fernando b Hasaranga 5 (Aus 80-2)

    Goodbye, Mr Big Show.

Glenn Maxwell is a frustrating player to watch, isn't he? It feels like he has so much talent but doesn't always showcase it.

He tries to launch Wanindu Hasaranga over the mid-wicket boundary but doesn't quite get enough of it and it is a fairly simple catch for Avishka Fernando.

  12. Aus 80-1published at 8.1 overs

    Target 155

Step on down, Mr Big Show.

Glenn Maxwell brings out the switch hit and clobbers it over the infield and away to the boundary.

Imagine doing that to your fourth ball, in a World Cup?

Aaron Finch was at this brutal best today...

  14. Aus 76-1published at 8 overs

    Need 79 from 72 balls

Sri Lanka are just bowling too many bad balls. Maheesh Theekshana starts with a couple of dots before dragging one down and David Warner is too good on the pull shot to miss out on those. The left-hander has worked his way up to 37 here.

Ominous signs for the rest of the teams in this tournament and England ahead of the Ashes this winter.

A promotion for Glenn Maxwell. He joins David Warner in the middle.

    WICKETpublished at 6.5 overs

    Finch b Hasaranga 37 (Aus 70-1)

    Breakthrough!

It is by no means Wanindu Hasaranga's best delivery. It is fairly wide and Aaron Finch tries to drive away but ends up chopping a thick under edge onto his stumps.

Sri Lanka needed that. Can they squeeze the heck out of this game now?

There have been some really good deliveries among some really average ones.

  18. Aus 67-0published at 6.1 overs

    Target 155

Wanindu Hasaranga, who is ranked second in the bowler rankings in this format, is on.

He starts short though and David Warner smashes another pull shot to the boundary.

This has been dreadful from Sri Lanka. I need Mickey Arthur cam at this point please.

  19. Aus 63-0published at 6 overs

    Target 155

Maheesh Theekshana returns to bowl the final over of the powerplay.

He drops short and David Warner just rocks back and crunches a pull shot to the mid-wicket fence.

That is the end of the powerplay. It undoubtedly belongs to Australia. They need 92 runs from 84 balls now.

That is the worst ball I have ever seen.
