Another no-ball and another free hit incoming ...

We don't normally see this type of swing in a T20 but this pitch is quite green. That'll mean it is softer compared to some of the other pitches we've seen that look like they have been rolled in tarmac.

  3. Ban 57-6published at 14.1 overs

Rabada gifts Mahedi a free hit by overstepping, but sends down a perfectly executed slower ball that the batter is nowhere near and can't make the most of it.

Kagiso Rabada has been remarkable today. He has 3-14 already and he's back for his last over.

It has not been great, has it... It hasn't been entertaining T20 cricket.

South Africa have been very strong, though.

  6. Ban 56-6published at 14 overs

Another good over from Shamsi concedes just two.

What do Bangladesh do here? Just swing and hope for the best? Not sure there's much point just prodding about for another six overs.

I don't understand why players don't bat in helmets. You can't sweep properly, because you're afraid of getting hit if you don't wear one.

Missing the stumps. Review lost and Shamim survives.

He's gone for a reverse sweep and completely taken his eye off the ball, maybe because he's not wearing a helmet.

It is closer than it looked, but it might just be too high.

Do South Africa have another? Quinton de Kock likes it from behind the stumps and convinces his captain to review an lbw.

  12. Ban 56-6published at 13.3 overs

    Thanks, Callum.

I'm really feeling for Bangladesh here. South Africa have been absolutely brutal.

  13. Ban 54-6published at 13 overs

Better over for Bangladesh. They manage to take eight from it. Another seven of those will get them up to 110.

Ffion Wynne will take you through the remainder of this game, however long that lasts.

Getting to 100 from here will be a real struggle. I don't think they'll make it there.

  15. Ban 50-6published at 12.1 overs

    A boundary!

It is a good shot from Mahedi Hasan too.

He goes deep in his crease and late cuts to the third fence.

I mean, are we that disappointed that this is bad news for Australia?

This result does have implications on the rest of the group. If South Africa win this game heavily and improve their net run-rate, it makes things much more difficult for Australia and pretty much impossible for the West Indies.

  18. Ban 46-6published at 12 overs

A successful start for Tabraiz Shamsi then.

He goes for just three too.

Can Bangladesh bat the overs and somehow get up to 100 at least?

That's disappointing. Liton Das is a good quality player but this has been such hard work for Bangladesh. Relentless from the seamers and now having to deal with the spin.

    Das lbw b Shamsi 24 (Ban 45-6)

    Thumping into leg stump!

Liton Das was trying to shovel Tabraiz Shamsi into the leg-side but he is beaten in the air.

Bangladesh are in a right hole.
