It's not a myth, but statistically batsmen are less likely to get out in the 90s than any other 10-run bracket under the 150s.

Overton 96, Bairstow 148
I stand corrected. Overton drills Boult through the off side for four. He's one shot away from a century.

He's nervous, you can tell.
How many times? Play is momentarily interrupted again due to someone moving behind the bowler's arm.
Boult reels Overton forward, the England batter plays and misses. He then looks to pull the seamer and again wafts at thin air.
Overton hasn't got going yet this morning.

That's the shot of a man in form.
Overton 92, Bairstow 148
Shot! Bairstow picks up a length delivery and clips it through mid-wicket for four. Perfect timing.
A push into the off side adds two more.
Former umpire Dickie Bird is sat alone on a balcony watching intently. He was in the same place for most of yesterday. I hope he's not been there all night.
Overton, for the second time today, dives in after setting off for a quick single.

Good job I don't take things to heart, Laurence. Now excuse me while I dry my eyes.
Eight from Southee's over. A good one for England.

Get that Amy back on - it was a lot more exciting when she was commentating.

But where does it end? Jason Roy coming in at the top of the order? Should Liam Livingstone replace someone in the middle order?
We have the first boundary of the day, folks. Back of a length from Trent Boult and Jonny Bairstow clobbers it for four.

Do you think Jos Buttler would fancy a run in this side? I can't help but think he would love the freedom to play the way we all know he can.

Overton 91, Bairstow 134
Bairstow takes a single to mid-on before Overton has a wild hack at a delivery shaping away from him.
Three overs in and still no boundaries. What do they think this is? Test cricket?

You can feel the buzz around the ground.
There usually is at Headingley but people were here early today. They don't want to miss a ball.
Under usual circumstances, I'd already be buzzing for the England-India Test. With this new England approach, my excitement is on another level.
Boult beats Overton again. Maiden.

Will: Seeing this new England side I very much regret accepting a refund after the last India test was cancelled!
Trent Boult was fantastic yesterday. And he's on the money straight away today. Overton edges and it lands short of third slip. The second delivery beats the debutant.
I wonder how long this watchful start will will last. A slight delay in play as Overton requests a change of pads after that dive. He's on 91 from 112.
Just the one over for Bracewell, with Trent Boult warming up.

As much as I imagine they want to see the same entertainment as yesterday, I get the feeling today’s crowd are appreciative of Bairstow and Overton playing themselves in. They are in this for the long haul.
A solid forward defence gets a round of applause.
Brilliant running. Bairstow angles his bat and glances to backward square leg. The England pair sprint the first and the second, with Overton diving in to make his ground.
Southee comes back with a fine delivery which nips back in and fizzes past Bairstow's off stump.
