Sam Curran has settled into a nice rhythm quickly. Rassie van der Dussen is a player you can squeeze and build dot balls against whereas it is a lot harder to do that to Quinton de Kock when he's in this kind of mood.

Oh, that is beautiful. An absolutely top class shot played with the minimum amount of fuss.
Sam Curran is helping out his bowling partner with some tight deliveries to slow down the scoring.
Van der Dussen is forced into two straight-blocks before he leaves one. He then tries to score off the fourth delivery but can only find the fielder at backward-point.
He does eventually get off strike giving Curran one ball at De Kock.
But a short one is playfully tipped over the top with a ramp shot; and all that pressure is released with a boundary from the opener.

The short ball is a good change up for Sam Curran. The batters seem to find it hard to pick because of his skiddy action.
Sam Curran's over starts with three singles as Quinton de Kock moves on to 45 off 37.
But Curran responds well with a tighter line which forces two defensive front-foot shots from Van der Dussen.
And now he tries a bouncer which VDD chases. Does he nick it? England appeal but the umpire says no. The hosts don't bother with the review.
When South Africa find their rhythm, they look so good.
The run-rate is back up to six an over.

Moeen Ali continues for another over, starting with a dot before De Kock gets off strike with a single down to long-off.
And now it's all happening as Van der Dussen reverse-sweeps to the fielder at the boundary. South Africa come back for a risky second which see Jos Buttler collect the ball and throw it just wide of the stumps at the non-strikers end. He misses, but would that have been out with a hit?
Next up VDD cracks one through the covers to the boundary and then is happy to block out the final two balls of the over.
