Rishabh Pant is okay to continue. Here's some of his best shots from his innings today.
Rishabh Pant appears to have been caught on the finger when he worked Ben Stokes' first ball off his hips and the India physio is briefly on to freeze spray it to alleviate some of the discomfort.

This is now India's highest sixth-wicket partnership against England.
Play can go on until 19:00 BST this evening by the way.
Joe Root, with a towel tucked into his trousers which flaps away as he bowls, keeps plugging away around the wicket to the Indian left-handers.
A beautiful shot from Ravindra Jadeja as he crisply cuts behind point. A slightly stiff Stuart Broad turns like the Titanic and is in pursuit, but that was four from the moment it left the bat.

Andy Purchase: Someone please remind England that this sixth wicket pair isn't Mitchell and Blundell.
Excellent summary of things, JayRad.
England's coaching holy trinity of Paul Collingwood, Brendon McCullum and Jon Lewis look on from the balcony with stern glances.
Ben Stokes is persisting with the bouncers from round the wicket to no avail. England look a little bit like they have run out of ideas.

JayRad: England looking a bit ragged now with these no balls, loose deliveries and mistakes in the field. Pant has been amazing to watch but Jadeja has played such a pivotal role in absorbing pressure and rotating the strike.

I've seen Root practice that bouncer in the nets. But Rishabh Pant is too good for that.
Ben Stokes applauds Joe Root for bravely tossing one up outside off stump. However, Rishabh Pant is in the mood and he powerfully biffs it for four down the ground.
Final ball of the over and Root digs one in and bounces Pant, who picks up the length quickly and pulls it four.
England trying anything to get a breakthrough here.

Mark Burt: People need to calm down. India are a terrific and gutsy team that bat deep. England are bowling with a suspect cherry, are missing three out-and-out quicks led by captain who is learning on the job. This is why it’s called Test cricket.

Root's record against India is 10 wickets at an average of 30. Half of those were during that 5-8. He does have a good record against left-handers.
Ben Stokes brings a modicum of calm to proceedings, with this round-the-wicket short-pitched bowling. Three runs off the over.
Joe Root into the attack as Jack Leach licks his wounds.

Mike Steere: Suggest Stokes & McCullum organise some focused training on taking the sixth wicket! Been a weak spot all summer.

Ben: It’s all of a sudden got very ordinary from England here…
Devan Patel: Run rate of 4.69 in the first innings of a Test match. Mad.

Rishabh Pant has scored 59 runs from 32 balls against Jack Leach.
And another!
Almost single-handedly - literally for this six down the ground, with one hand on the bat - Rishabh Pant has hit Jack Leach out of the attack with another one dispatched into the stands.
There was an overthrow in that over too. 22 runs from it. Did anyone (C) or (TM) 'Bazball'?

It's another big hit. When he comes down the wicket he really gives it everything.
It's very difficult for Jack Leach to have any control over these left-handers.
Jack Leach came into this game on a high after his performance at Headingley but he's right back down to earth here.
Rishabh Pant slog sweeps him four, then skips down the track and launches him into the stands back over his head for six.

I've seen this short ball ploy several times with England.
I always thought if I was facing that what would really unsettle me was if there was a short leg in place, meaning there is a threat of me being dismissed with a defensive stroke. There's then there's more chance of me going for the hook or the pull.

Chris Mitchell: England’s inability to deal with sixth wicket partnerships was annoying against the Kiwis but is now becoming sheer ineptitude. As well as Pant has batted, this has been buffet bowling at its finest.
