The fast bowler very nearly gets a Billings with a yorker last ball. The England man just manages to get the bottom of the bat to it and that is enough to send it bouncing over the top of the stumps.

That's a sign of pressure. India were tying Billings down a bit, and he was just trying to force a shot to rotate the strike and release it.
Chance... but Billings gets lucky. It's a leading edge from the England wicket-keeper as he tries to clip Thakur through the legside. The ball looks to be looping to Bumrah at mid-on but keeps going and just gets over the head of the stand-in India skipper.

Bumrah does eventually find the edge but it's played with soft hands by Billings and the ball drops short of second slip. Very good over, though. A maiden.

Bairstow might be making it all look very easy but Bumrah is giving Billings a real working over, beating the outside edge by a whisker twice in the first three balls of his latest.
