What a fantastic over that was! Mohammed Shami could easily have had Alex Lees a couple of times.

What a fantastic over that was! Mohammed Shami could easily have had Alex Lees a couple of times.
After punching the fifth ball through the covers for two, Lees plays and misses at the last. Very good over from Shami but it costs eight runs. Welcome to BazBall!

Did that actually miss the leg stump? Did it swing as much as that?

I've never seen Alex Lees do that!
It's started! Second ball of Mohammed Shami's over and Lees is down the track and ends up skewing the ball through mid-wicket for four!
So close next ball! Lees shoulders arms and the ball bounces millimetres over middle and leg.
Well, it was never going to be dull, was it?

I'd like to think so, but it is like he is trying to drive himself back into form.

Do you think that Zak Crawley would like to play a little differently today considering the pressure he is under?
Zak Crawley sees out the remainder of the over in what he a big innings for him. He's had the backing of both head coach and captain but, ultimately, he needs runs if he is to stay in the team.
There is some swing for Bumrah, more so once the ball has passed the stumps, and he does give Crawley a couple of tempters but the England opener is not drawn into the drive just yet.

Arjj: I reckon India have thrown this series away with that batting performance today.
Anil Pingali: India lost a lot of momentum here. England have the confidence, batters, & time to chase this down. Feel like India squandered a glorious chance for the series win.
Target: 378
England are away first ball as Lees pushes Bumrah into the covers and, after a brief hesitation, scurries through for one.
Alex Lees and Zak Crawley are out in the middle. Strap in, folks. Here we go!

For England to get their highest-ever Test run chase against a bowling line-up of this quality is quite unlikely you'd think. But, it is the chases against New Zealand that are enthusing England.
There is also the fact that if England are to chase this, near the speed they did against New Zealand, they'd only have to face one new ball.

I don't think India will be nervous. It is day four and the fourth innings and we've seen a bit of turn from the pitch, Ravindra Jadeja also becomes a match-winning option. India should have enough variety in their bowling attack.
For those true BazBall believers out there, Ffion informs me that England need to go at 6.4 runs an over to win it tonight.

I'm looking forward to this - we'll definitely be getting a result!

Henry Ellison: Alright Zak, its now or never.
Jack Rule: Ok Zak now is your time to go out there, show everyone what you can do and how good a player you can be. Forget about playing BazBall and settle yourself in the score some runs.
It would be England's highest successful run-chase in Tests but given what they have done already this summer, it cannot be ruled out.
Whether they get there or not, the one thing that you can guarantee is that they will be going for it. They have plenty of time to do it, too.

England will be fairly satisfied.

Well done to England today. We weren't sure if India would just take control and take the game away.
England needed wickets and they've done that. They've used the short ball to good effect.
This will be the most interesting chase of the summer so far. There is lots of time.
