No sign of Jadeja going into white-ball mode yet, even with just the tail for company. He sweeps Leach for a single fourth ball, leaving Bumrah to see out the over.
How long will this restrained approach last?

Ross: Oh no. The short ball plan is working again, meaning we’ll keep doing it.
Stokes bluffs Jasprit Bumrah by going full with his first delivery to the new batter. Solidly blocked.
There's no bluff to end the over, though. A fierce bumper from Stokes that gets past Bumrah's bat and thuds into his shoulder. Bumrah shakes it off - 'show no pain'.

It was just a fraction fuller and it just meant it was up around the awkward eyeline height. It was an easy catch in the end.
England are doing the right thing here in terms of taking wickets. They need to keep going.

Mohammed Shami has fallen into that trap too! It was very straightforward in a way.
Shami c Lees b Stokes 13 (Ind 230-8)
The short ball works again! It hasn't always been effective for England but it has been today!
Shami tries to take it from outside off stump, gets a top-edge and Alex Lees takes a simple catch three-quarters of the way back to fine leg.
Lead by 362
India are away after lunch as Jadeja pushes a single to third man from Stokes' second ball.
The field goes back for Shami. More short stuff incoming.
The players are back out. Ben Stokes looks set to bowl the first over after lunch and the second new ball is available in seven overs.
It is also worth noting that this is an extended afternoon session as they try to make up for time lost to rain. Tea will be taken at 15:40 BST.
Just a couple of minutes until the afternoon session begins, so here's a quick reminder of where we're up to. India lead by 361 runs with three second-innings wickets remaining.

Jason Cole: An interesting thought experiment. Imagine if Alastair Cook was a 20-year-old making his way in county cricket today. Given his playing style, would he get picked for England?

Stuart Broad's 35-run over could prove to be pivotal in this match

Abinash Das: The Bazball effect & the sheer amount of overs left in the contest virtually take the draw result out of the picture. It's the nerves & the clutch execution that will be tested. England will go for the target and India will go for the wickets with an attacking field.
The weather is set fair at Edgbaston and the afternoon session is just 10 minutes away.
What are we expecting then? England to mop up the tail quickly? India to take the lead past 400?
Ten players have taken 100 catches in Tests for England - excluding wicketkeepers. Can you name them all?
Read MoreWhen Jimmy Anderson took the catch to get rid of Shreyas Iyer, he became the 10th England player to take 100 catches in Test cricket.
That begs the question...
England were really up against it - and, in truth, they still are - but they managed to drag themselves back into something close to contention with three quick wickets.
Matthew Potts removed Shreyas Iyer and Shardul Thakur with short balls, while Jack Leach dismissed Pant in between. It was a pretty spectacular wicket as Pant tried to reverse sweep and was superbly caught by Joe Root at slip.
It looked like being another one of those days for England when Rishabh Pant was dropped by a diving Zak Crawley at second slip on 45.
The India left-hander was soon raising his bat as he added a half-century to his first-innings hundred.
Back to today's action then and India started day four in a commanding position. Cheteshwar Pujara was looking good, showing far more positive intent than yesterday evening and helping to grow the lead.
That was until he gifted his wicket to Stuart Broad. A bonus wicket for England after a slow start to the morning.

Anyone getting Headingley vibes here? Would be a Stokes thing to do - to be under pressure and carry the team home.
