Somerset 109 v Essex 109-2 (Play resumes 11:00)
Image source, Rex FeaturesAustralian fast bowler Mark Steketee believes Essex's strength in depth will stand them in good stead as they look to challenge for the title this season.
The 28-year-old took 3-47 as they bowled out Somerset on day one at Taunton in the second game of his six-match deal with the club.
"They've got a very strong squad, it's not just the 11 guys that are out on the field. Jamie Porter's missed out (on this game) and he's a class player and there are some class players that can come in if injuries happen," he told BBC Essex.
"It takes a squad effort to win any tournament and I'm sure they'll be tested."
