    Northants v Yorks 189-4

Harry Brook continues to pour it on for Yorkshire at Wantage Road.

He's taken two more boundaries backward of point and the wicket of Dawid Malan has done nothing to stem the scoring rate.

Northants' change bowlers - Matt Kelly, on debut, and Luke Procter - have both gone at over four-an-over and three overs from spinner Simon Kerrigan have disappeared for 27.

  2. 50 runs

for Tom Westleypublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

    Warwickshire v Essex 123-7

Tom Westley may be feeling a little like the boy stood on the burning deck at the moment, but a single off Danny Briggs carries him to his first 50 of the season off 140 balls.

Partner Shane Snater celebrates his captain's achievement by slogging Briggs towards cow corner for six.

    Kent 133-3 v Hampshire

Going for his shots has paid off today for Daniel Bell-Drummond and he picks up successive fours off Mohammad Abbas - through mid-wicket and mid-off - to advance to 90 not out.

His boundary tally is now 17 - meanwhile, partner Jordan Cox is unbeaten on five.

  4. Glamorgan all out against Middlesexpublished at 14:56 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

    Glamorgan 122 v Middlesex

    Ffion Wynne
BBC Radio Wales at Sophia Gardens

Glamorgan's collapse is complete and it's a debut to remember for Shaheen Shah Afridi, who finishes with 3-35 and also took two catches.

He was well assisted by Toby Roland-Jones, with 3-34, and Tom Helm with 2-24.

Not many positives to take for Glamorgan to be honest, as Chris Cooke top-scored with 31 and there were some questionable dismissals to say the least.

Despite being all out for 122, it still looks like a good day for batting - can Middlesex capitalise?

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

    Harmer b Briggs 0 (Warwickshire v Essex 109-7)

If you are a fan of 1970s progressive rock, you may be familiar with the song Freefall by Camel and that is exactly what Essex are in at the moment.

They lose their fifth wicket since lunch as Simon Harmer tries to hit spinner Danny Briggs away to mid-wicket but makes no contact and is bowled.

Skipper Tom Westley - on 47 - is joined by Shane Snater.

  6. Notts seize impetus at Riversidepublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

    Durham 135-5 v Nottinghamshire

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Notts put Durham in on a murky morning and then struggled to make an impact with the ball as the sun came out.

Durham's opening stand was worth 66 but they crucially lost a second wicket right on the cusp of lunch and since then it's been Notts' day.

Sean Dickson was the wicket to fall at lunch, lbw to Luke Fletcher on 54. It was the third time he'd reached 50 in three games, but his dismissal gave Notts the impetus.

Liam Patterson-White then claimed the wickets of Keegan Petersen and Scott Borthwick and since then South African Dane Paterson has dismissed his compatriot David Bedingham for 14.

He was caught behind to leave Durham 135-5. Given his form and the fact he scored 191 against Leicestershire here last week, that was a big wicket for the visitors.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

    Wheater c Burgess b Norwell 0 (Warwickshire v Essex 108-6)

Essex collapsed last week against Somerset and it's happening again at Edgbaston where a beautiful leg-cutter by Liam Norwell sends Adam Wheater on his way for a four-ball zero.

Norwell has 2-14 from his 10 overs so far and Simon Harmer is the new batter.

  8. Division Two round-uppublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

Nottinghamshire are turning up the pressure at the Riverside where Dane Paterson has just had dangerous David Bedingham caught behind for 18 to leave Durham on 135-5.

James Harris has gone for 20 against his former club and Glamorgan are now 118-9 against Middlesex at Sophia Gardens.

Tom Haines has picked up his third wicket, trapping Azhar Ali lbw for 20, but Worcestershire are now 164-4 against Sussex, with Brett D'Oliveira on 34.

Wiaan Mulder is 16 not out in his first innings for Leicestershire, who are 100-4 against Derbyshire, with opener Sam Evans still there on 44.

  9. wicket

WICKETSpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

    Lancs v Glos 133-3

Lancashire totally change the complexion of the day in six deliveries.

First a complete slice of luck as Saqib Mahmood angles one down the leg side and Marcus Harris flicks at it and edges behind for 67.

And then George Balderson brings one back to bowl James Bracey for just 5.

So the two best players back in the shed and Gloucestershire have to try and go again.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

    Rossington c Lamb b Norwell 4 (Warwickshire v Essex 106-5)

It's true to say that Adam Rossington is not best pleased with himself.

Liam Norwell sends down a wide delivery and he drills a catch to cover.

Essex have now lost three wickets for 18 since lunch - what must skipper Tom Westley, who is 44 not out, be thinking at the moment?

  11. Postpublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

    Warwickshire v Essex 106-4

    Adam RossingtonImage source, Rex Features

It was Adam Rossington who held his nerve to see Essex home by one wicket against Somerset on Saturday - and they also need runs from the former Northants skipper here after the loss of those two quick wickets.

Rossington's first scoring stroke is a punch for four off the back foot from the bowling of Oliver Hannon-Dalby. A nice way to start.

  12. Double setback for Kentpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

    Kent 119-3 v Hampshire

    Chloe Brewer
Surrey and South East Stars player

A clear day at Canterbury with a seemingly flat deck. Daniel Bell-Drummond and Ben Compton formed a strong partnership after the loss of Zak Crawley early doors.

After lunch, Kent lost two wickets, going from 111-1 to 114-3 within a few overs, losing Compton and Tawanda Muyeye.

Bell-Drummond (80*) looks set for a big score having hit three more boundaries since lunch, taking his tally to 15.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

    Malan lbw b Berg 64 (Northants v Yorks 153-4)

Here's the breakthrough for Northants - and it's Gareth Berg back to break a partnership of 131.

Full and straight to Dawid Malan who looks a little beaten for pace trying to flick to leg, flat-footed, and is bang in front.

The only thing that could have saved him was whether it pitched outside leg but it was full enough to suggest not.

WICKETpublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

    Critchley c Burgess b Hannon-Dalby 2 (Warwickshire v Essex 102-4)

Suddenly, the imaginary wheels have come off for Essex.

That was a poor shot by new batter Matt Critchley and it's a fairly comfortable catch for keeper Michael Burgess.

OHD now has three wickets in the innings.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

    Lawrence b Hannon-Dalby 30 (Warwickshire v Essex 98-3)

Suddenly wickets are falling just about everywhere.

England's Dan Lawrence is the man to go at Edgbaston, bowled through the gate by Oliver Hannon-Dalby as he attempts an off-drive.

Just a little touch of inswing there for the Warwickshire seamer, who now has 2-26 from 11 overs.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

    Dent c Croft b Hasan Ali 52 (Lancs v Glos 119-1)

Much-needed breakthrough for Lancashire and Hasan Ali has made it.

But not by doing very much.

A totally-unthreatening delivery, on a good length well outside off stump, is tamely poked at by Chris Dent into the hands of second slip.

A huge lapse in concentration and a fine opening stand comes to an end.

  17. wicket

    Renshaw c Pope b Overton 48 (Surrey v Somerset 78-2)

Surrey strike at the Oval as Matt Renshaw is squared up by a ball from Jamie Overton and Ollie Pope snatches a great slip catch - his second of the innings - in front of his left boot, just millimetres above the turf.

Renshaw's dismissal ends a stand of 66 with Tom Abell, who has now been joined by Tom Banton.

  18. wicket

    Muyeye c Brown b Barker 1 (Kent 113-3 v Hampshire)

    Keith BarkerImage source, Rex Features

A great start to the afternoon by Hampshire as Keith Barker picks up his second wicket in as many overs.

Tawanda Muyeye tries to flick away a leg-side delivery but it's too fine and wicketkeeper Ben Brown moves across to take a sprawling catch.

  19. 50 runs

for Harry Brookpublished at 14:06 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

    Northants v Yorks 137-3

Yorkshire have come out well after lunch with Harry Brook following Dawid Malan to fifty in just 58 balls.

A lovely counterpunch and the visitors now rattling along at four-an-over at Wantage Road.

Brook backing up his 101 and unbeaten 56 at Bristol last week.

The hundred stand is up for the fourth wicket too.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 21 April 2022

    Compton b Barker 27 (Kent 111-2 v Hampshire)

Ben Compton's run of centuries comes to an end as Keith Barker pierces his defence and flattens off stump. There may have been a thin nick off inside edge there, but Compton is gone - still, three hundreds before this innings is a pretty decent start to the season.

The new Kent batter is Tawanda Muyeye.
