Simon Harmer carves Craig Miles away over point to reach a 103-ball fifty - and after a few moments debate, the umpire decides it was a six.
It takes the South African to 52 and and Essex lead by 47 runs with three wickets remaining.
Durham 230 & 117 v Notts 488-9d
Oh wow what a surge to victory from Notts.
They only need 33.5 overs to roll Durham over for just 117 and they've wrapped up a mighty win inside three days.
The last four wickets have gone down for just four runs in 20 balls.
Quite the surrender from Durham.
The wickets shared around all the attack as Notts claim a 23-point win.
After that collision at the Oval (see 5.42 entry), looks like Ben Foakes is a bit groggy. Let's hope he'll be back out there soon.

Great effort by Dan Lawrence who is finally caught behind off Craig Miles after batting for 143 minutes with a runner because of a hamstring injury.
The England player put on 81 with Simon Harmer, who is 45 not out and has been joined by Shane Snater. Essex are 36 ahead.
Gibson b Patterson-White 0 (Durham 117-9 trail Notts by 141)
This is becoming quite ugly for Durham.
Liam Patterson-White turns one past Oliver Gibson's outside edge and into his off stump.
Banton c Foakes b Topley 52 (Surrey 308 v Somerset 337 & 158-7)
It has all gone very wrong for Somerset since tea and Tom Banton is the latest to depart as Reece Topley again finds the edge and now has 3-42.
Ben Foakes holds onto the diving catch but there is a nasty collision with first slip Jamie Overton, which leaves the England wicketkeeper lying flat out non the floor.
Leicestershire are now offering resistance at the Incora County Ground, with Wiaan Mulder and Louis Kimber together at the crease.
The home side are 121-4, still 197 behind, with Mulder 24 not out and Kimber on 17 as they look to extend the game into a final day.

Tawanda Muyeye comes well forward but Felix Organ produces a perfect off-spinner's delivery which turns back between bat and pad to bowl the Kent right-hander.
Ben Compton is still there on 27,. but they are 282 behind as Jordan Cox comes out to bat.

The Somerset collapse continues as Craig Overton is bowled through the gate by Reece Topley.
That is two in the over for the Surrey left-armer and the visitors need someone to provide some support for Tom Banton, who is 50 not out.
Drissell c Mullaney b Patterson-White 7 (Durham 113-7 trail Notts by 145)
There have been some misgivings about the flat nature of the Chester-le-Street wicket over the past couple days.
But it's not affecting Notts a jot as they now look set to wrap up a huge win tonight.

He's around the wicket into the footmarks outside Miles Hammond's off stump.
Hammond going okay so far and has used his feet well to take three boundaries off the leggie.

Surrey are coming on strong in the final session at the Oval.
Somerset lose their third wicket for 23 runs as Steven Davies needlessly chases a wide one from Reece Topley and Ben Foakes takes the catch.
A bit of a gift for the home side that one.
Worcestershire 491 v Sussex 269 & 129-8
Worcestershire only need two more wickets for victory at New Road where Henry Crocombe was recently caught at long off by Brett D'Oliveira from the bowling of Josh Baker.
It may perhaps be a lost cause but that wasn't the greatest of shots.
Surrey 308 v Somerset 337 & 155-4
Tom Banton marks his return to action from injury with a 96-ball fifty at the Oval, brought up with two to backward square leg off Reece Topley.
Steven Davies gets off the mark in the next over and Somerset's lead is now 184.

Notts are running through the Durham batting line-up at CLS and look set for a three-day win at this rate.
Durham don't appear to have the stomach for the fight. They have been remarkably off colour in this game for whatever reason and Notts have dominated proceedings since lunch on day one.
They declared their first innings on 488-9, with Ben Slater 225 not out. That meant a lead of 258.
By tea Durham were reeling on 85-5 and have turned what looked like the most docile of tracks when they were bowling, into a minefield when batting.
Warwickshire 385 v Essex 168 & 239-6
Simon Harmer and Dan Lawrence have a half-century partnership for Essex now and the South African adds two fours in the same Oliver Hannon-Dalby over.
For once, the seamer's line and length is not unerring as he is carved through the off side and then clipped away to mid-wicket.
Harmer is 40 not out, Lawrence has 35 and Essex lead by 22.
Raine lbw b Fletcher 4 (Durham 94-6 trail by 164)
Notts move a step closer to victory with a third wicket for Luke Fletcher.
He's round the wicket, angling one into Ben Raine who plays around it and looks bang in front.

Somerset in a little spot of bother now as James Hildreth edges Jordan Clark to first slip. The lead is 170, but almost half of their side are gone and with no Lewis Gregory in this game, the tail is quite a long one.
Leicestershire 213 & 88-4 v Derbyshire 531
Like Sussex, Leicestershire may also be on the slippery slop after opener Sam Evans is lbw to Sam Conners for 33. That one appeared to keep a little low. The home side need another 230 to make Derbyshire bat again.
