    Sussex 538 v Durham 223 & 169-0

Great knock by Sean Dickson, whose century has given Durham a fighting chance of saving the game at Hove.

It's Dickson's second of the season and he reaches stumps on 110 not out, having shared an unbroken stand of 169 with Alex Lees (50 not out).

  3. Stumps at Headingleypublished at 18:35 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Yorkshire 571 v Kent 291 & 118-2

And that's the close in Leeds.

Ben Compton's unbeaten 67 has given Kent a chance of getting something out of the game, but they still trail by 162.

  4. NOTTS BEAT WORCESTERSHIREpublished at 18:28 British Summer Time 30 April 2022
    Breaking

    Notts (266 & 233-5) beat Worcestershire (159 & 339) by five wickets

Notts have pulled off a fine chase, led by Joe Clarke's unbeaten 61 against his former side.

That's three victories from their opening four games and Notts are sitting pretty at the top of Division Two.

  5. Close of play at Bristolpublished at 18:25 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Gloucs 443-2 v Surrey 603

Chris Dent's unbeaten double hundred dominated day three, with the match looking set for an inevitable draw.

Dent reached 207 not out at stumps, having shared an opening stand of 296 with Marcus Harris (124), while Miles Hammond (75 not out) has helped him to add 146 so far for the third wicket.

The Gloucestershire opener will have on eye on beating his career-best score now - that's the 268 he made against Glamorgan seven years ago.

  6. Close of play at Southamptonpublished at 18:21 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Hants 246 & 350 v Lancs 240 & 9-0

A testing six-over stint for George Balderson and Luke Wells to survive, but the Lancashire openers do just that to ensure they keep all 10 wickets intact heading into what promises to be an exciting final day.

Nick Gubbins' second century of the match, supported by Ben Brown's 72, enabled Hampshire to post 344 in their second innings.

The equation on day four is this: Lancashire need 342 runs, Hampshire need 10 wickets.

    Notts 217-5 (target 233) v Worcs

    Notts are racing to victory.

  8. Close of play at Chelmsfordpublished at 18:09 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Essex 193 & 149-3 v Northants 390

Paul Walter and Matt Critchley have ground out the final session to maintain Essex's hopes of saving this game against Northamptonshire on the final day.

Their partnership stands at 91 so far, with Walter heading for the dressing room on 40 not out and Critchley 44, having come together at 58-3.

Essex still need another 48 to make Northants bat again - with the visitors seeking seven wickets as they push for their first Championship win at Chelmsford since 1998.

  9. Postpublished at 18:05 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

for Chris Dentpublished at 18:05 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Gloucs 434-2 v Surrey 603

    Chris Dent (Gloucestershire)Image source, G

Chris Dent has been at the crease for almost seven and a half hours - and it's earned him an impressive double century.

The Gloucestershire opener's heart must have leapt to his mouth just now, when a leading edge flew back towards bowler Ryan Patel but dropped fractionally short.

But he kept his cool to reach the landmark three overs later, chopping Will Jacks to the fence - the 27th boundary of his innings, which has taken 375 balls.

  11. 50 runs

for Comptonpublished at 17:53 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Yorkshire 571 v Kent 291 & 107-2

Ben Compton's magnificent season continues as the Kent opener goes to his fifth half-century. He's converted three of them into centuries.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:51 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Mullaney c Baker b Finch 10 (Notts 182-5, target 233 v Worcestershire)

    And another for Worcestershire!

Steven Mullaney clatters Adam Finch out to deep cover where Josh Baker holds on.

51 still needed for victory, five wickets required by the Pears.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:51 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Abbas c Jones b Wells 0 (Hants 246 & 344 v Lancs 246)

Mohammad Abbas lasts just two balls, swinging Luke Wells to the boundary where Rob Jones takes the catch.

That's the end of the Hampshire innings, then - and Lancashire need 351 to win.

They have a full day, plus six overs tonight in which to get them...

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:48 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Fuller b Wells 21 (Hants 246 & 344-9 v Lancs 240)

Hampshire are nine down now, with James Fuller attempting to sweep Luke Wells and getting bowled around his legs.

The lead is exactly 350 and we still have a scheduled 8.3 overs remaining tonight.

  15. Postpublished at 17:46 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Gloucs 413-2 v Surrey 603

No bowling points for Surrey, then - although they might have snatched one in that 110th over.

Miles Hammond danced down the track to Will Jacks and missed - but sub keeper Josh Blake was unable to complete the stumping and ended up breaking the wicket by falling against it.

Gloucestershire are still only two wickets down, then, and it just remains to be seen whether Chris Dent, on 189, can advance to a double hundred before the close.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:40 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    James c Barnard b Baker 23 (Notts 171-4, target 233 v Worcs)

There's still life in this one!

Lyndon James tries to reverse sweep Josh Baker but gets a top edge and is caught by Ed Barnard at slip.

Notts still need 62 runs, Worcestershire require six more wickets.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:30 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Barker c Croft b Lamb 40 (Hants 246 & 324-8 v Lancs 240)

Three wickets now for Danny Lamb as Keith Barker is caught at cover.

Hampshire lead by 330, with two wickets standing - this could be an intriguing final day at the Ageas Bowl...

  18. 50 runs

for Miles Hammondpublished at 17:27 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Gloucs 394-2 v Surrey 603

It may be overshadowed by Dent's marathon innings, but an important knock by Miles Hammond nonetheless as he goes to his second half-century in as many games.

Hammond gets there from 86 balls, with a quickly-scampered two off Jordan Clark, and Gloucestershire are now approaching their fifth batting bonus point.

After that, it's just a case of reaching 454 - which would confirm Surrey cannot make them follow on.

    Lyndon JamesImage source, Rex Features

Notts are getting closer to victory against Worcestershire. They're 164-3, needing another 69 for victory.

Durham's opening pair Sean Dickson and Alex Lees have shared a century stand in their second innings. It's looking a flat pitch at Hove, but they still trail Sussex by 210.

Derbyshire are 129-2 against Glamorgan in their second innings and leading by 110.

  20. Postpublished at 17:22 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Yorkshire 571 v Kent 291 & 67-2

The floodlights are on at Headingley, but Kent pair Ben Compton and Jack Leaning are doing well under gloomy skies.

I'm not certain we'll get in the remaining 19 overs scheduled with a bit of rain also on the way.
