  1. 100 runs

for Marcus Harrispublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Gloucs 262-0 v Surrey 603

It's a second century for Marcus Harris since his move to Bristol as he follows partner Chris Dent to three figures.

The pair have made Surrey's bowlers toil all day and show no signs of stopping as they steadily reduce that enormous deficit.

It'd be a brave punter who backs anything other than a draw in this one...

Steven Patterson is bowled by South African spinner George Linde to leave Yorkshire nine down.

But their lead is a mammoth 251.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    A Cook c Vasconcelos b Taylor 19 (Essex 193 & 41-1 v Northants 390)

Northants needed a wicket - and they pick up a big one.

It's ex-England captain Sir Alastair Cook who departs, pouched low in the slips by Ricardo Vasconcelos to end his partnership of 41 with Nick Browne.

Tom Westley joins Browne at the crease, with Essex still trailing by 156.

  4. 100 runs

for Nick Gubbins (again!)published at 14:31 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Hants 246 & 226-4 v Lancs 240

Nick Gubbins (Hampshire)Image source, Getty Images

Another excellent knock by Gubbins brings him to three figures for the second time in this match!

It's the first time the Hampshire left-hander has ever registered two centuries in a match and he achieves the feat from 218 balls, punching Hassan Ali through the covers for four.

Gubbins and Ben Brown have now extended their side's advantage to 232 with six wickets standing.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Thompson c Leaning b Linde 33 (Yorkshire 518-8 v Kent 291)

Jordan Thompson takes a big swipe and top edges George Linde into the sky where Jack Leaning takes the catch.

  6. Notts set 233 to winpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Notts 266 v Worcs 159 & 339

Nottinghamshire finally finish off Worcestershire's second innings as Dane Paterson removes last man Dillon Pennington.

The South African finishes with 10 wickets in the match after his first-innings 8-52.

Ed Barnard is left 163 not out.

Both sides will fancy their chances of victory at Trent Bridge.

  7. 50 runs

for Ben Brownpublished at 14:12 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Hants 246 & 210-4 v Lancs 240

Ben Brown's been in good touch with the bat since his move from Sussex and now the Hampshire keeper has added a half-century to his 157 against Kent.

Brown gets there from 98 balls - the 45th time he has notched a first-class 50.

This partnership with Nick Gubbins now stands at 97, with Hampshire threatening to set the Red Rose a very stiff fourth-innings target.

    Somerset 458 v Warwickshire 209 & 66-3 (f/o)

Somerset are finding this fourth wicket hard to come by.

Will Rhodes and Sam Hain are digging in for the Bears. But they're still a long way behind at Taunton. 183 runs to be precise.

  9. Postpublished at 14:05 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Yorkshire 501-7 v Kent 291

That's the 500 up for Yorkshire.

How many scores of 500 have there been so far this season in the County Championship?! Off the top of my head there must be half a dozen at least. Remarkable.

  10. Postpublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Gloucs 221-0 v Surrey 603

It's as you were after lunch at Bristol, where Chris Dent and Marcus Harris have now posted the highest County Championship opening partnership of the season so far.

Dent is 110 not out and Harris on 80, with their stand of 221 overtaking the efforts of Essex pair Nick Browne and Sir Alastair Cook in the first round of games.

By coincidence, Browne and Cook are at the crease right now as Essex follow on against Northamptonshire at Chelmsford...

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Bess c Cox b Leaning 89 (Yorkshire 496-7 v Kent 291)

Dom Bess falls short of a second first-class century.

The Yorkshire all-rounder tries to drive part-time spinner Jack Leaning, but gets an outside edge and Jordan Cox clings on to a sharp chance at slip.

An excellent innings comes to an end.

  12. Postpublished at 13:53 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Yorkshire 487-6 v Kent 291

They're back under way at Headingley a little later than the other games as they continue to make up for time lost.

Dom Bess is 15 away from a second first-class century.

  13. 'Labuschagne showed his class'published at 13:44 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Derbyshire 368 v Glamorgan 339-6

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Glamorgan’s Australian star Marnus Labuschagne has showed his class with a century off just 137 balls in the Derbyshire sunshine.

Labuschagne, who hit five hundreds for the Welsh county in 2019, drove and pulled fluently as Glamorgan neared the home total.

He added 82 with nightwatchman Timm van der Gugten, who hoiked Mattie McKiernan to long-on for 20 just before the new ball.

Chris Cooke was trapped lbw for three by Sam Conners when the new ball was taken, and Tom Cullen should have been caught at slip in the same over as Derbyshire finally managed to apply some concerted pressure.

Labuschagne was on 116 not out as the players returned from lunch.

  14. Postpublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Somerset 458 v Warwickshire 209 & 45-3 (f/o)

    Another side following-on are Warwickshire.

A huge task ahead for their remaining batters with the deficit still at 204.

Sam Hain and Will Rhodes have resumed things for the Bears after lunch.

  15. Postpublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Essex 193 & 0-0 (f/o) v Northants 390

Despite the frustration of watching Essex's last two wickets hold his side up for the entire morning session, Ricardo Vasconcelos has decided to enforce the follow-on at Chelmsford.

Nick Browne and Sir Alastair Cook are about to begin Essex's second innings, with 197 needed to make Northamptonshire bat again.

  16. 'Nothing taken for granted'published at 13:37 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Gloucestershire 215-0 v Surrey 603

    Ed Seabourne
    BBC Radio Bristol

Chris Dent moved serenely through the 80s and 90s and to a richly deserved hundred, his first since August 2019.

His front-foot driving and cutting in particular has been a joy to watch.

Yes, the pitch appears to be turning ever more into a belter to bat on, but Reece Topley and Dan Worrall probed away late in the first hour, and there was still some life left in it for them on the right spot.

Marcus Harris has proved the perfect foil, for the most part content to knock the ball about, with Dent now having faced 40 balls more than him, but has brought out a couple of those trademark extra cover drives himself.

Surrey's lead is still gigantic despite Gloucestershire's terrific morning, so nothing will be taken for granted at this point!

  17. 'Wonderful to watch'published at 13:27 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Sussex 490-5 v Durham 223

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

Wonderful to watch two high quality international cricketers plying their trade in the County Championship.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Mohammad Rizwan have batted throughout the session adding 128 runs, as Sussex have extended their lead to 267.

Durham haven’t bowled badly, and their ground fielding has been excellent, but with this partnership now worth 140 Sussex are in complete control, and it’s now just a case of when the declaration will come.

However, Durham will take comfort from this pitch which is an excellent batting wicket, and Sussex will need to work hard if they’re to record their first Championship win in over a year.

  19. Lunch at Headingleypublished at 13:14 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Yorkshire 486-6 v Kent 291

Another superb session for Yorkshire's batters.

Harry Brook fell just short of a double century, but Dom Bess is in sight of his second first-class hundred.

And that's now lunch in all nine matches, so time for a look at the scores...

  20. 'Perfect morning for Somerset'published at 13:12 British Summer Time 30 April 2022

    Somerset 458 v Warwickshire 209 & 45-3 (f/o)

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Just about the perfect morning for Somerset, as they polished off the Warwickshire first innings inside three overs, enforced the follow-on and then picked up three prime second innings wickets in the shapes of Alex Davies, Dom Sibley and Rob Yates.

All this thanks to an irresistible - so far - combination of relentlessly accurate seam bowling backed up by three fine catches from Craig Overton, Tom Abell and Tom Lammonby.
