    Yorkshire 571 v Kent 291 & 316-6

The final session of the match gets under way at Headingley.

Yorkshire will be desperate for an early wicket to get Kent wobbling with their lead standing at 36.

  2. Play resumes at Hovepublished at 15:56 British Summer Time 1 May 2022

    Sussex 538 v Durham 223 & 329-2

The rain has cleared away on the south coast and they're back out after tea.

Durham lead by 14 with eight wickets in hand. Surely this one is heading for a draw?

  3. Tea at Derbypublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 1 May 2022

    Derbyshire 368 & 349-3, Glamorgan 387 &101-2

Technically, Glamorgan need another 230 to win at tea.

But really it is more a case of whether Derbyshire can take eight wickets. And, with Marnus Labuschagne well set on 52, that does not look too likely.

  4. Tea at Headingleypublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 1 May 2022

    Yorkshire 571 v Kent 291 & 312-6

Ollie Robinson and Grant Stewart have gone a long way to saving this game for Kent with an unbroken stand of 94.

Yorkshire only took one wicket in the session.

Kent lead by 32, but if Yorkshire can clean up this innings quickly after tea they're still in with a chance of victory.

  5. Tea at Chelmsfordpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 1 May 2022

    Northants 390, Essex 193 & 285-7

Essex lead by 88 runs at tea.

    Three wickets in hand.

36 overs still left in the day.

Can Northants still force a win here?

Maybe a good, old fashioned cup of tea will do the trick?

    Yorkshire 571 v Kent 291 & 310-6

Grant Stewart brings up a rapid half-century off 58 balls.

He's hampered with injury too, so Jordan Cox is running for him.

His stand with Ollie Robinson is now worth 92 and Kent lead by 30.

    Hampshire 246 & 344, Lancashire 240 & 9-0

Still no official word on whether they might get any sort of cricket after a so far wasted day for Hampshire and Lancashire.

But you've got to say it doesn't look too good . . .

  12. 'One run short of record'published at 15:22 British Summer Time 1 May 2022

    Sussex 538 v Durham 223 & 328-2

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

Very light drizzle at Hove forced the players off the field and an early tea is being taken as this game drifts to a draw.

Alex Lees and Sean Dickson came within one run of equalling the Championship record of 314 for the opening partnership for Durham, before Lees smashed a full toss from Mason Crane to mid-wicket where Tom Alsop took a good catch

In the same over Crane removed Dickson caught behind by Mohammad Rizwan, but this delay has scuppered any outside chance of an unlikely Sussex victory.

Play is set to resume at 15:30 BST.

Half-century partnership for David Lloyd and Marnus Labuschagne.

They're so far matching each other boundary for boundary.

  17. Kent leadpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 1 May 2022

    Yorkshire 571 v Kent 291 & 281-6

Kent move into the lead at Headingley. What can their last four wickets stretch it to?

We might be on for an exciting chase later on.

  18. 50 runs

for Robinsonpublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 1 May 2022

    Yorkshire 571 v Kent 291 & 278-6

Ollie Robinson steers Matthew Revis away past point rather awkwardly but it goes down to the boundary to bring up his second fifty of the game.

And Kent are now only behind by two runs with four wickets in hand. They'll be feeling increasingly confident of salvaging something from the game at Headingley.

    Close!

Grant Stewart edges Matthew Revis and the ball flies just past a diving second slip.

He follows it with a slash through the off side for four.

The deficit is now just eight runs thanks to this fifty stand between Stewart and Ollie Robinson.

  20. Postpublished at 14:59 British Summer Time 1 May 2022

    Derbyshire 368 & 349-3, Glamorgan 387 & 38-1

Glamorgan are battening down the hatches after the early loss of Andrew Salter.

David Lloyd and Marnus Labuschagne have both so far hit four boundaries.

The visitors have no chance of winning this game but they would at least like these two to remain unparted in the two or so hours that remain.
