We've got an intriguing last couple of sessions ahead at Hove.

After Derbyshire declared following a rain delay, in which we lost 20 overs, Sussex were set 342 to win in 76 overs.

They have kept up with their required run rate in the 11 overs bowled so far, but lost the wicket of captain Tom Haines, lbw to spinner Alex Thomson.

Entry is free today as Sussex chase their first Championship win since last April.

  2. Lunch at Hovepublished at 13:23 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

    Sussex 337 & 47-1 v Derbyshire 551-8 dec & 127-7 dec

A shortened morning session at Hove, as rain delayed the start until 12:15 BST.

That has not helped Derbyshire's hopes of victory although they did snaffle a wicket before lunch as Sussex opener Tom Haines fell lbw.

Sussex need 295 more runs to win with nine wickets remaining - all three results still in play.

  4. GLAMORGAN WIN BY THREE WICKETSpublished at 13:08 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

    Worcestershire 271 & 199, Glamorgan 139 & 334-7

Michael Neser finishes it off with a boundary.

Billy Root is left stranded on 99, from 172 balls.

But the main thing is that Glamorgan have won - a remarkable turnaround after trailing by 132 runs on first innings.

Glammy move up to second in the Division Two table with their fourth win in eight games this season.

It caps a miserable week for tgheir promotion rivals Worcestershire, who suffered a record T20 Blast defeat to their neighbours from Birmingham on Friday night.

And, with two players, Moeen Ali and Ed Barnard, both strongly linked with moves to Warwickshire, external, there could be worse news to follow for the Pears.

  5. Two runs needed at New Roadpublished at 13:07 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

Glamorgan 330-7 (chasing 332 to beat Worcestershire)

Two needed. Billy Root on 99.

  6. Lunch at The Ovalpublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

    Surrey 673-7 dec v Kent 331 & 154-2

We started an hour late at The Oval so Surrey will be the side most pleased with the morning session, having taken the wickets of both Kent openers in the hour since.

Ben Compton and Joe Denly both departed lbw to cracking deliveries, leaving Kent's first-innings heroes Daniel Bell-Drummond and Jack Leaning to pick up the baton.

A Surrey win is the most likely outcome but Kent are battling.

  7. Lunch at Wantage Roadpublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

    Northants 451 & 92-2, Warwickshire 405

  8. Lunch at Nevil Roadpublished at 13:04 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

    Gloucestershire 337 & 176-3, Lancashire 402

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

As James Bracey hit his 8th four to move on to 55 and bring up an unbeaten century partnership with Miles Hammond the rain started to fall.

Gloucestershire will feel they're well on course to make the game safe.

Both batters survived a testing spell last night where it felt like a wicket could fall at any moment and they've reaped their rewards this morning.

Much needed runs for Bracey, who did not offer a chance in the morning session.

  9. Lunch at Trent Bridgepublished at 13:03 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

    Nottinghamshire 551-8 dec v Middlesex 376 & 122-0

A barren morning session for the Notts bowlers.

Middlesex openers Mark Stoneman (45) and Sam Robson (55) have frustrated the attack, progressing their unbeaten partnership to 122.

Middlesex trail by 53 runs at lunch but it's the zero in the wickets column that will please them the most. The longer that stays the same the more likely this battle of Division Two's top two is to end in a draw.

  10. Glammy homing in on victorypublished at 13:01 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

Glamorgan 321-7 (chasing 332 to beat Worcestershire)

11 needed for Glamorgan now at New Road.

Michael Neser now on 21 off 24 balls.

Lunch was due at 1pm, but it will now be delayed due to the state of the game.

  11. wicket

WICKET - Haines lbw b Thomson 20published at 12:55 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

    Sussex 337 & 41-1 v Derbyshire 551-8 dec

    Breakthrough for Derbyshire.

Alex Thomson pins Tom Haines lbw for 20.

Surrey trail by 300 with nine wickets remaining.

  12. Neser gets stuck inpublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

Glamorgan 314-7 (chasing 332 to win)

Michael Neser slams three boundaries in an over off Ed Barnard.

The Glamorgan victory target is now down to 18.

One way or another, this now looks like getting wrapped up by lunch.

  13. 50 runs

50 partnership for Rickelton & Procterpublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

    Northants 451 & 76-2, Warwickshire 405

Tidy third-wicket partnership for Ryan Rickelton and Luke Procter.

Their stand is now well past 50 - and Northants lead by 122.

  14. Postpublished at 12:44 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

    Sussex 337 & 27-0 v Derbyshire 551-8 dec & 127-7 dec

    Intriguing final day at Hove.

The morning rain forced Derbyshire's hand with their second declaration of the match.

But there are enough overs in the day for Sussex to win this. They are going at 4.5 an over so far - that would be enough to win if they keep their wickets intact.

Openers Ali Orr (16) and Tom Haines (10) going well so far.

  15. 100 runs

Century partnership for Bracey & Hammondpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

    Gloucestershire 337 & 176-3, Lancashire 402

James Bracey (58) and Miles Hammond (55) have put together what looks like a match-settling century partnership here.

Hard to imagine Lancashire forcing victory now.

  16. 50 runs

    50 for Middlesex's Robsonpublished at 12:40 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

    Nottinghamshire 551-8 dec v Middlesex 376 & 107-0

Middlesex's openers continue to frustrate Notts as Sam Robson brings up a 125-ball half-century.

Notts skipper Steven Mullaney has brought himself into the attack now.

  17. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

Glamorgan 301-7 (chasing 332 to beat Worcestershire)

31 runs now needed (or three Worcestershire wickets) - but a painful couple of moments for Ed Barnard.

Micahel Neser offers him the chance of a tough return catch, which the England Lions all-rounder puts down, then, as so often haopens, the South Africa-born Australia international swats him for four next ball to bring up the 300.

Neser looks like he has come in to have a go.

Billty Root remains becalmed on 86.

  18. wicket

    WICKET - Cullen c Fell b Leach 16published at 12:30 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

Glamorgan 293-7 (chasing 332 to beat Worcestershire)

Joe Leach returns to the attack and breaks through again.

Tom Cullen edges and Tom Fell takes an excellent one-hand catch at second slip.

Fell joined this match late on day two, as a concussion substitute for Taylor Cornall. He has just made a real impact on it though.

39 still needed as Michael Neser comes in.

  19. 50 runs

Half-century for Miles Hammondpublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

    Gloucestershire 337 & 176-3, Lancashire 402

Miles Hammond has followed James Bracey to his half-century as Gloucestershire further close the door on Lancashire.

The hosts now lead by 111.

  20. Postpublished at 12:27 British Summer Time 29 June 2022

    Surrey 673-7 dec v Kent 331 & 129-2

That dismissal brings Daniel Bell-Drummond and Jack Leaning together.

The Kent pair put on 161 for the third wicket to frustrate Surrey in the first innings - they are going to need to do something similar to prevent Surrey racking up another victory here.
