Northants 235 & 174 v Lancashire 132 & 131-2
Three fours in a Rob Keogh over from Josh Bohannon as he takes his score to 66.
Northants will feel like they need a wicket here.
Middlesex 464-9 v Sussex 523
What a day for Bradley Currie.
Only on trial at Sussex, he has claimed six wickets on his Championship debut after removing Toby Roland-Jones and Umesh Yadav.
That is certainly a great way to make an impression from the Scotland left-armer.
Somerset 424 & 212-5 v Yorkshire 276
George Bartlett has smashed successive maximums off Matthew Revis to move to 80.
If he wants a hundred, he may have to do it tonight.
Warwickshire 5-1 (chasing 325 to win)
Early boundary for Alex Davies off Matt Henry, but he then perishes to the final ball of the second over, caught behind off Navdeep Saini.
It's an eighth catch in the match for Kent stumper Sam Billings - just two short of the county record.
Somerset 424 & 181-5 v Yorkshire 276
James Rew takes on the hook shot against Jordan Thompson but sends it into Shannon Gabriel's hands at fine leg.
Eight off 31 balls for Rew, not perhaps the acceleration Somerset wanted.
Northants 235 & 174 v Lancashire 132 & 116-2
Josh Bohannon clips Simon Kerrigan away for a couple and that's 50.
It has come off 83 balls with nine fours. A crucial knock for Lancashire, but they need more.
Surrey 63-1 (chasing 161)
Hello . . .
First wicket for Simon Harmer as Rory Burns perishes to midwicket.
Hasim Amla arrives to take on his South African compatriot.
Does this game still have one last twist?
Gloucestershire 201 & 132-4 v Hampshire 457
Miles Hammond reverse sweeps Liam Dawson for a mighty six. It's enough to take him to 76, his best effort this season.
It has certainly held up Hampshire from a three-day victory at the very least.
Kent 165 & 384-9, Warwickshire 225
Kent have declared, setting Warwickshire 325 to win.
Nine overs left tonight. This could prove interesting.
Light meter readings permitting!
Kent 165 & 378-9, Warwickshire 225
Matt Milnes flat bats a missile to Dom Sibley at long off, where the England opener takes a good boundary catch.
New man in is Matthew Quinn, who mightily wallops his first ball, Botham-style, for six.
And then . . .
Northants 235 & 174 v Lancashire 132 & 100-2
Spin at both ends for Northants with Rob Keogh and Simon Kerrigan bowling in tandem.
Remember, they took all ten wickets last Thursday as they bowled Kent out on the final day.
But Steven Croft reverse sweeps a full toss from Keogh to the fence for four to bring up the 100 for Lancashire.
This partnership is now worth 54.
Leicestershire 584 v Glamorgan 111-2
Early finish at Leicester where, at halfway, Glamorgan trail Leicestershire by 473, on 111-2, with eight wickets remaining.
Sam Northeast has reached 50, Colin Ingram is in 46.
Still two days left in this contest though.
Kent 165 & 369-8, Warwickshire 225
Matt Henry is bowled by Bears spinner Danny Briggs.
Navdeep Saini is the new man.
Kent lead by 309. 13 overs left after this one.
Middlesex have avoided the follow-on at Lord's. An excellent 50 from Toby Roland-Jones sees his side at 396-7, only 127 behind Sussex.
Still no breakthrough for Nottinghamshire, with Derbyshire 52-0. The deficit is still 248, though.
Leicestershire 584 v Glamorgan 111-2
The players are off at Grace Road, where Sam Northeast and Colin Ingram have put on 102 for the third wicket.
Gloucestershire 201 & 111-4 v Hampshire 457
James Bracey goes for a big drive, but succeeds in edging to Liam Dawson at second slip, who makes no mistake.
Kyle Abbott gets into the wickets and it underlines the variety in Hampshire's bowling.
Their attack is probably unmatched in Division One.
Kent 165 & 360-7, Warwickshire 225
Here we go again . . .
Five minutes lost! And two overs. 15 left in the day.
The floodlights remain on.
Kent 165 & 360-7, Warwickshire 225
The lights are on at Edgbaston - but they have come off for bad light.
Still 17 overs left to come so, who knows, they might yet come back on.
Don't go home quite just yet.
There was speculation in county cricket circles before the start of this season as to what would happen to the Bob Willis Trophy once the Covid pandemic was eeemd to be finally over.
The BWT, presented in honour of England legend Bob's sad passing, was first awarded in 2020 to Essex, as the winners of a shortened red-ball competion.
Then it was won by Warwickshire in 2021, when they hammered Lancashire at Lord's, as a one-off fixture to close the season.
Essex's Tom Westley was the first of the two county captains to lift the Bob Willis Trophy in 2020
But, from now on, Bob's legacy will go to a different home - and sit on some lucky individual's mantelpiece instead.
The illustrious Cricket Writers Club have been given use of the trophy, and it is to be presented annually to England’s player of the year – male or female – as voted for by members of the CWC.
Possibly an even more fitting memory of the popular former Surrey, Warwickshire and England fast bowler.
Somerset 424 & 162-4 v Yorkshire 276
Lewis Goldsworthy tries to whack Dom Bess to the boundary but picks out Jack Shutt just in front of square.
