Hants v Kents 113-6
Well played Ben Compton.
He nudges a back of a length ball from James Fuller off his hip, and moves to 50 from 141 balls.
Kent need a few more from their opener.

Michael: "Do the ECB ever come out and explain why some players are rested, and others not? It's baffling why Pope and Foakes are playing, but not Crawley, Lees and Leach who have hardly been overworked this summer, and could surely benefit from playing. #bbccricket, external"
The short answer to that question is 'no'.
Worcs 163-5 v Notts
Successive maidens for Liam Patterson-White and Jake Ball.
D'Oliveira moves to 44 with a lovely late cut off Patterson-White for four.
Somerset 117-2 v Northants
The boundary flurry at Taunton we referred to (see 14:17) abated pretty quickly and we are now back to ones and twos.
Somerset won't mind that providing they don't lose any more wickets and Tom Abell is 30 not out, with George Bartlett on 24.
Essex 22-2 v Lancs 131
It's always a good sign when Alastair Cook is getting on the front foot and punching through extra cover.
He does so twice - first off Tom Bailey and now off Will Williams.
Promising signs for Cook and Essex.
Surrey 159-5 v Yorks
Ollie Pope holds the pose as he cover drives Ben Mike for four.
A quick single ends the over as Jordan Thompson's throw misses the stumps at the bowler's end.
Gloucs v Warwks 138-6
Ajeet Singh-Dale returns to the attack with a maiden over.
Jacob Bethell defends against Zafar Gohar, bowling from the Pavilion End.
He picks up two runs from the fourth ball with an edge down to third man.
Gone this time! Zafar has three wickets now.
Inside edge straight to Charlesworth at forward short leg.
Gloucestershire on the verge of running through the Bears here.
Stevie Eskinazi has gone for 64, bowled by Tom Scriven, and Middlesex are now 150-5 after 49 overs against Leicestershire.
David Lloyd is still going strong for Glamorgan on 89 not out - and they are 177-2 against Derbyshire. Tom Bevan went for 48.
Sussex are struggling on 103-6 against Durham, with 18-year-old debutant Charlie Tear and Faheem Ashraf now together at the crease.
Worcs 159-5 v Notts
An LBW shout for Jake Ball against Gareth Roderick is turned down as the latter plays with bat behind pad.
The Pears have had a good session of play since lunch overall but remain in trouble five down and still 41 short of a first batting bonus point.
Surrey 150-5 v Yorks
The first ball of a new Ben Mike over is a short and wide and Jordan Clark gets off the mark by cracking it away for four.
A single by Clark to mid-wicket ends the over and takes Surrey's total to 150 - Mike now has 0-46 from seven.
Hampshire's latest wicket (see 14:22 entry) means Surrey's lead at the top of Division One is now down to six points.
Gloucs v Warwks 136-5
Breakthrough for Gloucestershire!
Yadav plays back when he should've gone forward and is castled by the slow left arm bowler for his second wicket of the innings.
Time for Jacob Bethell to have a bat.
Hampshire v Kent 100-6
Apologies Kent fans, I've jinxed Joey Evison somewhat there.
Kyle Abbott induces the drive, and James Vince makes no mistake at first slip.
Abbott now has 4-37 - he's so good.
Glamorgan 167-2 v Derbyshire
Nick Webb
BBC Radio Wales
Captain David Lloyd led from the front as he shared a century stand with championship debutant Tom Bevan to give Glamorgan a solid platform against fellow promotion chasers Derbyshire.
Derbyshire had an early shock when Ben Aitchison turned his ankle and limped off after three deliveries, but he did return to the field after Anuj Dal had Eddie Byrom caught behind for 13.
Lloyd and Bevan were held in check as Dal in particular bowled some tight lines, but both hit sixes off Alex Thomson after lunch before the spinner had his revenge when Bevan on 48 skied another big blow straight up in the air.
With both sides needing to win to have a chance of keeping up with Middlesex, the wicket is already taking some slow turn.
Bevan is playing in place of India’s Shubman Gill, ruled out through flu, while Derbyshire are giving a debut to Welsh seamer Adam Sylvester, well known on the South Wales club scene.
Hampshire v Kent 100-5
Joey Evison whips a James Fuller full toss through midwicket for four, before clipping Kyle Abbott beautifully for four more. He moves to 34 and Kent go past 100.
If these two can hang around for a while yet, Kent might post a respectable total.
Surrey 141-5 v Yorks
Ollie Pope pads up to Steve Patterson - is that out? The umpire decides it wasn't hitting. Patterson is none too chuffed.
Worcs 157-5 v Notts
This has been a vital partnership for the Pears after struggling in the morning session.
Roderick faces Brett Hutton and takes the 6th wicket partnership to 50 with a steer to square leg off the back foot for one.
Two balls later, D'Oliveira pushes the innings score past 150 with a drive through backward point for four.
Roderick gets four more with a thick outside edge on the drive to Ball at the other end.
Somerset 106-2 v Northants
Suddenly, a flurry of boundaries at Taunton.
Three come in the same Jack White over by George Bartlett, but the second is very lucky as it flies between the keeper and first slip.
Tom Abell picks up the tempo in the following over as he drives Tom Taylor elegantly through the covers.
He has 24 and Bartlett is 19 not out.
Gloucs v Warwks 123-4
Sibley edges Tom Price safely down to third man to pick up two runs.
He picks up three more with a clip to the on side to move to 57.
Five from the over.
Essex 7-2 v Lancs 131
There are two types of leave - this is a bad one.
Will Williams nips one back, and Tom Westley watches it crash into his off stump.
You get the sense this game might be over fairly quickly...
