  1. GLOUCESTERSHIRE ALL OUTpublished at 15:27 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

Yorkshire v Gloucestershire 190 all out

Tom Price launches Dom Bess for six, but the spinner has his revenge next ball.

The yorker catches Price by surprise and breaks the stumps and that is the end of the innings.

Good work from Yorkshire, who will begin their reply after tea.

  2. Good Bears startpublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Warwickshire 61-0 v Hampshire

Warwickshire have not had too many starts like this one this summer.

Rob Yates is up to 39 with eight boundaries while Dom Sibley has 18.

The Bears need a good first innings score here as they require a platform to force the victory they require.

  3. wicket

WICKET Payne b Hill 0published at 15:18 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Yorkshire v Gloucestershire 172-9

David Payne comes and goes in the space of four balls.

Not much he could do about this one as golden arm George Hill gets one to straighten up and take out the stumps.

Two wickets in the over for Hill - his bowling seems to be getting better and better.

  4. Tea at Old Traffordpublished at 15:15 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Lancashire 248-2 v Surrey

Surrey cannot have suffered too many sessions like that this season.

The champions have given up 151 runs without taking a single Lancashire wicket.

  5. wicket

WICKET Bracey c Tattersall b Hill 71published at 15:10 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Yorkshire v Gloucestershire 172-8

George Hill comes back into the Yorkshire attack and only needs one ball to find a wicket.

He gets a delivery to catch the inside edge of James Bracey's bat to end a fine innings and a stubborn eighth wicket partnership of 43.

  6. 100 runs

for Keaton Jenningspublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Lancashire 246-2 v Surrey

Keaton Jennings takes a single off Cameron Steel and takes the warm applause from a hardy Old Trafford crowd.

That's his fifth ton of the season as he makes a compelling case for an England recall.

This one has come off 169 balls and included ten fours.

  7. Postpublished at 14:58 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Warwickshire 35-0 v Hampshire

The first mini victory for Warwickshire this week is to see off the first 10 overs with the new ball without losing a wicket.

Ian Holland is on in place of Keith Barker to bowl at Dominic Sibley.

  8. Postpublished at 14:55 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Yorkshire v Gloucestershire 157-7

Tom Price is sticking in with James Bracey as Gloucestershire try to claw their way towards somewhere close to 200.

These two have batted together for 45 minutes and have momentarily held up Yorkshire running through the order.

  9. wicket

WICKET Northeast c Alsop b Currie 13published at 14:52 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

A second quick strike for Sussex.

Full ball from Brad Currie, left-arm over, that Sam Northeast drives at, a touch flat-footedly, and edges low to first slip.

    Kent v Somerset 85-5

  12. wicket

WICKET Ali lbw b Higgins 27published at 14:42 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Worcs 85-4 v Middx

Back on at New Road and almost straight away a massive wicket.

Azhar Ali won't have faced too much medium pace with the keeper stood up the stumps - these types of bowlers wouldn't last two seconds on Pakistan's flat pitches.

But he's fallen to one here as Ryan Higgins nibbles one in to trap him on the front dog and pretty straight.

  13. 200 runs

up for Nottspublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Notts 200-1 v Durham

Runs flowing merrily for Notts and they raise their first point of the game.

Very well placed for plenty more and a chance to build a platform that could take defeat out of the equation.

A good haul of draw points is all they need for the title.

  14. What a difference a year makespublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Warwickshire 17-0 v Hampshire

Nobody epitomises the transformation in fortunes for Warwickshire this summer more than Rob Yates.

In this week last year, Yates struck his fifth century of the season as the Bears beat Lancashire in the Bob Willis Trophy at Lord's to go along with their Championship title.

It felt like Yates was one of the coming men in the county game, but 2022 has been a different story.

Before this match, he had scored less than 200 runs from nine games with just one 50 to his name as he and Warwickshire have struggled.

That shows just how fickle, cricket, and indeed any sport, can be.

  15. Hameed's fourth century of the seasonpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Notts 195-1 v Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Haseeb Hameed has just recorded the 12th first-class century of his career and the sixth for Notts.

He's been in fine form this season and has now 1,171 runs in the County Championship. This hundred came in 145 balls and included 15x4s. And I can't think of a single scare for him either.

He has also put on 136 with Matthew Montgomery, who has 62 runs. It is a really good batting track and it was a good toss for the hosts to win. A draw would be enough to see them go up.

It looks like a long day in the field for Durham too, who lost Paul Coughlin before the game for "personal reasons".

  16. Postpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Kent v Somerset 74-4

Lewis Goldsworthy and James Rew are digging in for Somerset, having been 9-3.

But Kent know it only needs one wicket and they will feel that they can get through the lower order.

  17. Postpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Yorkshire v Gloucestershire 135-7

Three straight maidens for Yorkshire as Ben Coad and Steve Patterson keep the pressure on the batters.

The White Rose sense ending this Gloucestershire innings before tea.

  18. 100 runs

for Haseeb Hameedpublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Notts v Durham

A fourth century of the summer for Haseeb Hameed.

He's produced a series of very attractive strokes today.

Back-to-back boundaries off Oliver Gibson took him into the 90s and a single from Jonny Bushnell gets him to a 145-ball hundred with 15 fours.

Just beforehand, a steered two to wide third man brought Matt fifty in 75 deliveries.

  19. 50 runs

for Steven Croftpublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Lancashire 196-2 v Surrey

A couple more for Steven Croft and that is 50.

A third of the season and 55th of his first-class career as he has provided good support alongside Keaton Jennings.

The third wicket stand is now worth exactly 100.

  20. rain stops play

Rain stops play at Hovepublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 26 September 2022

    Sussex v Glam 146-2

We were warned of threatening skies at Hove and they have brought some rain.

Beforehand, Shubman Gill had gone swiftly to 43 with five fours and a six.
