    Warwickshire v Hampshire 56-4 (Target 139)

Another loose over from Henry Brookes with seven off it, including a leg stump gift for four to get Ben Brown up and running.

Warwickshire can't afford too many overs like that. They have to build pressure.

    Sussex 258 & 457-7 v Glam 533-9d

Oh yes what a lovely catch from Andrew Salter!

Faheem Ashraf drives firmly to his left and he dives across and takes the catch one-handed.

Thumbs up for Yorkshire. Thumbs down for Warwickshire.

  4. wicket

    WICKET Vince c Hannon-Dalby b Norwell 15published at 14:11 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Warwickshire v Hampshire 49-4 (Target 139)

This IS the wicket Warwickshire badly wanted!

Liam Norwell gets one to bounce and as James Vince goes for the pull, he only manages to scoop it high towards deep fine leg.

Ollie Hannon-Dalby gets into position, and takes it! The Hampshire skipper has gone. A third wicket for Norwell.

    Game on!!

  5. wicket

WICKET Sales lbw b Harmer 1published at 14:09 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Northants 72-6 (Target 211) v Essex

Simon Harmer weaves his web over James Sales.

The Northants batter gets in a tangle over how to play the South Africa off-spinner, not sure whether to go forward or back and the ball turns into his pads.

From 62-1 to 74-6, this game is now firmly in Essex's grasp.

  6. Change in the attackpublished at 14:06 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Warwickshire v Hampshire 47-3 (Target 139)

Oliver Hannon-Dalby is replaced by Henry Brookes in the Warwickshire attack.

He was expensive in the first innings and James Vince disdainfully cuts him for two boundaries.

Ten off an expensive first over.

Hampshire now need just 92 more runs to complete victory.

  7. Close!published at 14:02 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Warwickshire v Hampshire 37-3 (Target 139)

And Liam Norwell almost has James Vince first ball!

The Hampshire captain gets away with an inside edge, perilously close to the stumps and it runs away for four.

    That would have been huge!

  8. wicket

WICKET Tear c sub b Salter 18published at 14:01 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Sussex 258 & 451-6 v Glam 533-9d

Charlie Tear was so impressive in the first innings but can only make 18 here.

It’s a third wicket for Andrew Salter and Glamorgan are beginning to work through Sussex now.

The potential chase is still very manageable at the moment.

  9. wicket

WICKET Weatherley lbw b Norwell 11published at 13:58 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Warwickshire v Hampshire 33-3 (Target 139)

There is plenty of life left in Warwickshire yet!

Liam Norwell gets one full and beats Joe Weatherley for pace and this time, he gets the LBW decision he wants.

This game is far from done.

Here comes the prized Hampshire wicket of captain James Vince.

  10. Postpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Warwickshire v Hampshire 33-2 (Target 139)

A lovely wristy stroke from Nick Gubbins gets him four to wide long-on.

There are plenty of gaps for scoring as Warwickshire hunt wickets.

  11. wicket

    WICKET Procter c Pepper b S Cook 2published at 13:52 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Northants 65-5 (Target 211) v Essex

Sam Cook is doing the business!

Coming round the wicket, he cramps left-hander Luke Procter for room and gets an inside edge through to the wicketkeeper.

That is a spell of four wickets for three runs for Essex.

  12. Postpublished at 13:51 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Warwickshire v Hampshire 27-2 (Target 139)

Ten overs gone and Warwickshire have two wickets. Liam Norwell ends it with a beauty that beats the edge of Joe Weatherley's bat.

The sun is out, which is not doing them too many favours, along with the lack of runs.

for Rehan Ahmedpublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Derbys 568-9d v Leics 249 & 301-4

Many an eye has been on 18-year-old Rehan Ahmed this season after his fine performances at the Under 19 World Cup in the Caribbean.

But more so for his leg spin rather than the bat.

Here he is with a maiden first-class hundred to prove his all-round credentials.

    Leicestershire now only 18 behind.

But Ahmed is now gone for 122.

  15. Postpublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Warwickshire v Hampshire 23-2 (Target 139)

Joe Weatherley gets four down to third off a thick outside edge as Liam Norwell continues to charge in.

Four overs each for him and Hannon-Dalby. Don't expect Will Rhodes to change either of his bowlers for a couple more yet.

  16. wicket

WICKET Keogh lbw b S Cook 0published at 13:40 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Northants 62-4 (Target 211) v Essex

Two in two balls for Sam Cook!

An injudicious leave from Rob Keogh first up and that is adjudged to be going on to hit the stumps.

Cook and Simon Harmer doing the business for Essex, as so often.

  17. wicket

    WICKET Vasconcelos b S Cook 30published at 13:38 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Northants 62-3 (Target 211) v Essex

Two wickets in three balls for Essex.

Sam Cook has his revenge over Ricardo Vasconcelos for those earlier boundaries. The batter tries to pull one, but it doesn't bounce as much as he expected and hits the stumps.

Northants have now lost both settled batters.

  18. wicket

WICKET Young b Harmer 30published at 13:36 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Northants 62-2 (Target 211) v Essex

It is the fourth innings of an Essex match, so here is the obligatory Simon Harmer wicket.

But it is an absolute pearler.

Northants captain Will Young goes to pad up outside off stump but the ball turns inside his defence and crashes into the wickets.

Superb bowling from the South African.

  19. wicket

WICKET Haines c sub (Gorvin) b Patel 177published at 13:31 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Sussex 258 & 426-5 v Glam 533-9d

    Finally Glamorgan dismiss Tom Haines!

285 runs across two innings for the Sussex captain but he falls to Ajaz Patel trying to clip to leg having advanced and only finds midwicket.

Big breakthrough for the visitors with the lead at 151.

  20. wicket

WICKET Holland b Norwell 3published at 13:29 British Summer Time 29 September 2022

    Warwickshire v Hampshire 14-2 (Target 139)

    Oh, hello!

Liam Norwell bends his back and sends the off-stump of Ian Holland cartwheeling out of the ground as the opener opted to leave it.

Warwickshire have removed both openers inside six overs.
