  2. Over 38published at 17:32 British Summer Time 17 September 2022

    Kent 306-6 v Lancs 211-4

Kent have gone back to Hamidullah Qadri, who still has a possible four overs in the tank.

Make that three now. Just four runs from Qadri's over and the required rate rises to eight again.

  3. Over 37published at 17:29 British Summer Time 17 September 2022

    Kent 306-6 v Lancs 207-4

Nathan Gilchrist is back into the attack, replacing Joey Evison, but he can't stem the flow of runs.

Rob Jones had been there for 25 minutes without scoring a boundary, but he makes amends by glancing Gilchrist for four and the target is now down to 100 with 13 overs left.

The boundaries had dried up until that last over - but suddenly they're flowing again as Steven Croft sweeps Joe Denly for two more fours, the second of them from a full toss.

Croft follows that by charging down the track to deposit Denly to the rope again at long-off. Suddenly Lancashire are above 200 and closing in...

If Steven Croft stays there until the end, I think Lancashire will win.

But, of the two of them, until those four Croft fours, Rob Jones was actually looking the more fluent of the two of them.

Kent's bubble has been burst, you feel.

Could that be one over too many for Joey Evison?

Steven Croft slams him for successive fours, the first of which brings him to his half-century from 71 balls.

More importantly for Lancashire, it lifts the pressure that had begun to accumulate in recent overs.

  7. Over 34published at 17:19 British Summer Time 17 September 2022

    Kent 306-6 v Lancs 179-4

Steven Croft attempts an untidy sweep against Joe Denly that brings him nothing and again it's a miserly over, with just three singles scored.

Lancashire now need more than eight an over, which won't worry them at this stage but they can't afford to let it climb too much higher.

  8. Over 33published at 17:16 British Summer Time 17 September 2022

    Kent 306-6 v Lancs 176-4

Whatever the outcome today, Joey Evison has certainly done his reputation no harm with bat or ball.

The moment has arrived! Kent captain Joe Denly decides it's time to lead from the front by turning his arm over.

Denly's first over of leg-spin yields five runs and Lancashire need 135 more from 18 overs.

  10. Over 31published at 17:09 British Summer Time 17 September 2022

    Kent 306-6 v Lancs 167-4

Joey Evison continues and, apart from one loose ball outside off stump that Steven Croft fails to fully punish, it's another solid over for Kent.

Six runs from it and the required rate is gradually creeping up...

  11. Over 30published at 17:05 British Summer Time 17 September 2022

    Kent 306-6, Lancs 161-4

Kent spinner Hamidullah Qadr keeps it tidy.

    Big wicket.

    Joe Evison strikes.

    Dane Vilas is gone.

Struggling to find his touch, the South African attempts to pull, the ball does not get up as much as he thought and he underedges onto his stumps.

As if he had not afready done enough with the bat for Kent, with his top score 97 earlier?.

Just three runs off that one.

    Only four off two.

Have we already found our man of the match?
