The boundaries had dried up until that last over - but suddenly they're flowing again as Steven Croft sweeps Joe Denly for two more fours, the second of them from a full toss.

Croft follows that by charging down the track to deposit Denly to the rope again at long-off. Suddenly Lancashire are above 200 and closing in...

Could that be one over too many for Joey Evison?

Steven Croft slams him for successive fours, the first of which brings him to his half-century from 71 balls.

More importantly for Lancashire, it lifts the pressure that had begun to accumulate in recent overs.

Steven Croft attempts an untidy sweep against Joe Denly that brings him nothing and again it's a miserly over, with just three singles scored.

Lancashire now need more than eight an over, which won't worry them at this stage but they can't afford to let it climb too much higher.

Whatever the outcome today, Joey Evison has certainly done his reputation no harm with bat or ball.

So far, the Kent youngster has top-scored with 97 and bowled consistently. Just four runs conceded from his fifth over.

The moment has arrived! Kent captain Joe Denly decides it's time to lead from the front by turning his arm over.

Denly's first over of leg-spin yields five runs and Lancashire need 135 more from 18 overs.

Joey Evison continues and, apart from one loose ball outside off stump that Steven Croft fails to fully punish, it's another solid over for Kent.
