A wonderful diving catch. That is simply sensational. Rashid had to travel 30m with the ball high in the air. Somehow he dragged it in. That is absolutely magnificent.

Najibullah c Rashid b Stokes 13 (Afg 82-4)
Adil Rashid, you BEAUTY! Another absolute stunner of a catch and England's fielding has been outstanding today.
The ball is heaved high into the air, and Adil Rashid has to run backwards, covering a lot of ground before diving with hands outstretched and snaffling the ball just before it hits the ground. He was nowhere near it.
That is remarkable.

Oof that looked quick. That looked really quick.
A casual 92mph bouncer from Mark Wood whizzes past Usman Ghani's nose and through to the keeper.
No thanks.

We've seen they have the ability to clear the ropes if they go after the bowling.

You have got to go hard at the opposition but they've sat back and England have taken control.
Not what England would've wanted.
Afghanistan turn down an easy single from the first ball as the batters have a bit of a row, but they do well to sneak two from the second, coming back for an overthrow after a sloppy piece of work.
Ones and twos aren't enough here, though. They've got to attack.
A good over for Afghanistan with 13 runs coming from it.
The batters bravely take on Liam Livingstone's arm for two, and just about make it safely after a good full-length dive.
A few more overs like that and they'll at least have something to bowl at.

A towering six!
That'll help!
An almighty slog from Najibullah Zadran sails high and far over Adil Rashid's head for a desperately needed six.

The run rate's not quite good enough is it? Especially since they've batted here before and got a mammoth total.
It's gone very quiet out in the middle, too.
Afghanistan need to find a boundary. Plenty of them.

The England fans are singing “it’s all gone quiet over there” at the Afghanistan supporters.
A brilliant over from Sam Curran, just three runs and the wicket from it.
Curran has clearly had a fresh trim in time for the World Cup. The sides are very short.
But I think we can all agree it's a good thing that he's given up on the mullet.

Sam Curran continues his great form in Australia. He's bowled so well since he's been here - and in really tough times.
Ibrahim c Moeen b Curran 32 (Afg 62-3)
Afghanistan's struggles continue as one of their best young talents departs.
Ibrahim tries to chip the ball over Curran's head but there's no pace on it, the ball whirling high in the air.
Moeen Ali makes it look so easy but it's a tough chance running backwards and with the ball under lights. England firmly in control now.

Stokes is not moving freely at all.
Adil Rashid whizzes through another quick over that concedes even.
Replays show Ben Stokes in the outfield grimacing in some pain. We've seen that many times before but England will be hoping it's nothing more than some discomfort.

it does make a huge difference when you step onto it or move around it.

The talking point around the boundary sponge is much bigger than it used to be. Reece Topley got a horrible injury stepping onto it.
