    All the way this time.

Where is a spinner meant to be bowl at Marcus Stoinis?

Gareth Delany gets this pretty much under Stoinis but the right hander is still able to demonstrate the power to plant it back over the bowlers head for his first six.

16 from the over. Big one for the hosts.

    Shot!

Marcus Stoinis just stands and plants Gareth Delany back down the ground for four. It's the first boundary in 17 balls.

We're actually going to have a delay here. Stoinis hit the ball that hard into the advertising board it is now glitching and needs to be reset.

  5. Aus 92-3published at 13 overs

Australia are behind the going then if we take Ravi's theory. Another good over for Ireland with just four singles and wide coming off it.

They are squeezing well. Australia have added just 14 runs in the last three overs.

Don't rule out 170-180 with Marcus Stoinis, Tim David and Matthew Wade in/to come.

As a minimum you want to get 100 on the board by the 13th over so you have a good foundation to try and get up to the 170, 180 mark.

  7. Aus 87-3published at 12 overs

Good over from George Dockrell, conceding just three singles.

With eight overs to go, Ireland will have aspirations of keeping Australia around the 150 mark here. That would definitely keep them in the game.

Mitchell Marsh was just starting to be dangerous for Australia, so his dismissal was timely.

    These were both massive blows.

  9. Aus 84-3published at 11 overs

Talking of destructive, Marcus Stoinis is the new batter.

Just the 59 off 18 balls for him in Australia's last game.

He pats his first ball back down the pitch for a dot.

    Maxwell c Tucker b Little 13 (Aus 84-3)

    Ireland are chipping away.

Josh Little persists with the full and wide outside off-stump line and it brings him the wicket.

Glenn Maxwell stretches and stretches some more and gets an edge through to Lorcan Tucker.

Big wicket for Ireland. Maxwell can be destructive.

  11. Aus 82-2published at 10.3 overs

Screams of anguish from Josh Little this time as Aaron Finch finds the gap in the covers to slot another wide delivery to the boundary.

Little is trying to hide the ball from the shorter leg-side boundary but he's offering a lot of off-side width instead.

  12. Aus 78-2published at 10.1 overs

Aaron Finch is still fighting with himself.

"Oh, you're kidding me," he shouts as he cuts a wide delivery from Josh Little straight to point.

    Time for the Big Show.

After surviving those two lbw shouts Glenn Maxwell is going to want to capitalise.

He brings up his first boundary with a straight drive that goes all the way.

  15. Not outpublished at 9.3 overs

    Arghh! Glenn Maxwell survives again.

The ball was just pitching outside leg, which means the all-rounder survives, despite him changing his stance to play the reverse sweep.

    Good decision by Nitin Menon.

Just pitching outside leg I reckon.

  17. Ireland reviewpublished at 9.3 overs

Oh, now Ireland think they've got Glenn Maxwell out lbw.

Nitin Menon says no this time, but Andrew Balbirnie sends it upstairs.

Kumar Dharmasena is earning his money.

    This could be close.

    Yeah, batters know, don't they?

It's a fairly healthy under edge and Glenn Maxwell survives.

To the naked eye it just doesn't look out. I think he has hit it.

  20. Australia reviewpublished at 9.2 overs

Glenn Maxwell is given out lbw by Nitin Menon but sends it upstairs straight away.

    He says "bat" out loud.

Is he right? They usually know.
