Malan pulled up straight away. I think he's gone. That is not good - that's one left-hander out.

Uh oh. Dawid Malan has pulled something fielding a ball from Chris Woakes' latest over. Has he tweaked his groin? He's straight off the field, consoled by Ben Stokes.
Pathum Nissanka is also struggling a little bit having been involved a collision with Charith Asalanka earlier.

I am looking forward to see how Wanindu Hasaranga bowls. He is such good fun to watch.

There is a bit of turn and grip there for Adil Rashid.
That will definitely please Sri Lanka, they have lots of spin - but England are also blessed with lots of left-handers to counter them.
Adil Rashid mixes googlies and leg-breaks as he attempts to outfox the Sri Lanka batters. Pathum Nissanka and Charith Asalanka find it hard to get him away. It's a superb over at this stage of the innings, with just four runs taken off it.
Here's that wicket for Ben Stokes from a little earlier.

It's nicely poised at the moment. Sri Lanka lost a lot of momentum after the powerplay, not able to score as freely, but they've just started to pick it up again.
Pathum Nissanka brings up three figures for Sri Lanka with a delicious use of Ben Stokes' pace as he transfer his weight on to the back foot and guides a deft cut through third for four.

Just the wrong length from Stokes, easy for Nissanka to clear the front leg, stand and deliver.
I don't think we're going to see Nissanka field, he doesn't look comfortable, but if he plays shots like that it doesn't matter!
A little full from Ben Stokes with the second ball of his third over and Pathum Nissanka has decided to take him, targeting the short boundary.
There's a fielder there but it sails over his head into the crowd.

It's been a really good innings from Nissanka. But he's got to kick on now. Sri Lanka need a big total of around 180 to be able to challenge England.
He's yet to get going with the bat, Abinash, but I take your point. Maybe today is a Stokes day with the willow in hand?
Anyway, Liam Livingstone is through an over of leggies with five singles taken from it. One of which brought up Pathum Nissanka's half-century off 33 balls.

Abinash Das: Is there something Stokesy cannot do? Seems he is the most important all-round asset in cricket at the moment across all formats.
Ben Stokes finishes an excellent over with two dots. Four runs and a wicket.
Here's a catch he took a little earlier to ensure Dhananjaya de Silva was not at the crease long enough to do much damage.

A couple of wickets in the last couple of overs means it could go either way.
England have got to keep taking wickets but after that start, Sri Lanka won't be happy if they end up with less than 160. They have got to keep attacking.

That's good bowling from Stokes, banging it into the wicket and forcing the batters to try and hit it over to the longer boundary.
Charith Asalanka c Malan b Stokes 8 (SL 84-3)
Ben Stokes thuds one into the wicket and Charith Asalanka attempts to slap it back over the bowler's head. But the Sri Lanka batter can only send it skywards and Dawid Malan takes a comfortable catch in the point region.
Best way to slow down the scoring is take wickets, as the old saying goes.

Does anyone do sunsets like Australia?
Ben Stokes is thrown the ball by Jos Buttler, who is making various tweaks and adjustments to his field from behind the stumps.
Pathum Nissanka and Charith Asalanka continune to knock it round for ones and twos off Stokes' first three balls.

Fenners: Big error giving them a 50-run start by offering up pace for first five overs. Might cost us later on when Sri Lanka give us no pace on the ball. I thought we were more agile and proactive than that, obviously not.....
