England are just clawing back a little bit of control. Sri Lanka are going along nicely but I worry about what they've got left in the shed if they lose another wicket.
Pathum Nissanka is back on his feet and we're set to resume play shortly. The Sri Lanka opener has looked in devastating form so far today.

Oh, they got in a complete tangle. It's a very good piece of work from Mark Wood but both batsmen are in a bit of discomfort.
They could have both been run out.
Moeen Ali, who has bowled only one over in the tournament, is into the attack.
There's a glimmer of a run-out chance off his third ball but his attempts to flick the ball on to the stumps come to nothing.
There's a collision between Charith Asalanka and Pathum Nissanka and the latter is down on the ground and requires some attention from the Sri Lanka physio.

Ryan: Real concerns for England here, bowling hasn’t been anywhere near our best, need to pull this back if we don’t want to chase a real big score
Four runs off that over from Sam Curran. Good control with his lengths.

Ben Stokes got in line of the ball quickly so that he could set himself and wasn't taking the ball on the run.
Smart work.

He was targeting that short boundary again but didn't quite get hold of it because Curran took the pace off the ball well.
Very good awareness from Stokes, too. He was very close to the boundary sponge.
Dhananjaya de Silva c Stokes b Curran 9 (SL 72-2)
Another catch in the deep, and this time Ben Stokes holds on.
A slight variation from Sam Curran means Dhananjaya de Silva cannot quite get the distance on a cutter and Stokes gets round at cow corner to take the catch right on the boundary sponge.
The all-rounder planted his foot, and turned round to check if his foot was touching. It wasn't. That should help stymie this fine start by Sri Lanka's batters.

Adil Rashid with all the guile you would expect. He wrestles back a smidgen of momentum with another tight-ish over, which goes for six. In the context of this innings so far that's miserly.
A penny for Chris Silverwood's thoughts at the moment? His batters have executed their plans superbly.

It's not looking as easy to hit the spinners with the pace off the ball. But that won't bother Sri Lanka at all because they have got so many spin options themselves.
Just the one wicket to fall so far, thanks to an athletic take by Liam Livingstone.

Chris Smith: England bowling like a very nervous team and Sri Lanka are batting like a team with nothing on the line. Really poor start with the ball, offside field and bowing at leg stump. If Sri Lanka post over 160 with their spinners that’s game over.
Rich: England could do with Liam Plunkett here.

Sri Lanka are making a conscious effort to target that short boundary, despite England bowling like they're trying to protect it.
More spin, as Liam Livingstone is into the attack. He starts well but his final ball is absolutely biffed over long-on Pathum Nissanka for six.
Sri Lanka are motoring here.

It's one of the best opening powerplays we've seen from a side batting first in the whole tournament.
