  1. Spirit 95-4published at 20 balls left

    Target 143

Excellent running from this pair as they scamper two runs thanks to a wide throw in from the boundary. But they need a few fours and sixes.

And that calls for a strategic timeout. Rockets are still comfortably in control.

  2. Spirit 92-4published at 23 balls left

Oooft! I did say Gibson wouldn't hang around.

She launches Alana King down the ground for four more!

Ones won't hurt the Rockets from this point of view. The equation is two a ball.

When you've got Katherine Brunt bowling at you it's a lot easier said than done.

  5. Spirit 87-4published at 25 balls left

    Target 143

Oooh! Dattani and Gibson run a risky single to Nat Sciver, who launches the ball to Brunt but the throw is ever so slightly wide and Brunt is unable to take it.

She reacts pretty harshly to Sciver, who did well to get the ball in so quickly!

  6. Spirit 83-4published at 30 balls left

    Target 143

Dani Gibson is the new batter and if you want someone who can whack it, she's your player.

She will not hang about... her second ball is smashed down the ground for four!

    Kerr lbw b Glenn 26 (Spirit 76-4)

    Crashing into the stumps.

A review of desperation from Spirit because that run rate is increasing by the ball and Amelia Kerr, set on 26 from 19 balls, held the key.

    Rockets in cruise control now.

It's close. It could be hitting middle and leg.

  9. Spirit reviewpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 20 August 2022

    Glenn strikes... or does she?

The umpire gives it out, but Amelia Kerr reviews, knowing the significance of her wicket.

  10. Spirit 76-3published at 35 balls left

    Target 143

Spirit are ticking along nicely, finding singles with ease but that won't bother the Rockets in the slightest.

Singles won't win them this game.

  12. Spirit 74-3published at 40 balls left

    Target 143

Now that's a rare sight - Alana King has conceded a boundary. Naomi Dattani times a sweep perfectly to the ropes.

The crowd at Trent Bridge is very decent today, over 10,000 people making up a sea of yellow cheering on the Rockets.

Having already smashed 43 not out with the bat, Sciver then took two wickets in two balls to really put London Spirit on the back foot.

Not a bad day out for the captain.

    Spirit 61-3

    Oh, just missing leg stump.

Good call from the umpire. Sciver just wanted that extra birthday present.

  15. Rockets reviewpublished at 17:31 British Summer Time 20 August 2022

Now then, is Dattani out lbw? Sciver sends a review upstairs at the very last second.

If she's not hit it, this is probably out.

  16. Spirit 59-3published at 45 balls left

Nat Sciver turns to her strike bowler... herself. It's not getting any easier for London Spirit, is it?

Naomi Dattani smashes a delightful four down the ground but they need a fair few more of those if they're going to get anywhere near Rockets' total.

I feel that when it gets to two runs a ball that's panic stations territory, because then you probably are looking to find a boundary every two or three balls which is quite hard. You don't mind that so much if there is 20 or 30 balls left.

  19. Spirit 55-3published at 50 balls left

    Target 143

Nearly! The pressure tells on Naomi Dattani who goes for a big slog sweep and the ball just bounces short of Alana King, who does brilliantly to pull off a sliding save in the end.

Tidy start from Marie Kelly, just six runs coming from the five balls.

  20. Postpublished at 17:25 British Summer Time 20 August 2022

    Spin, spin, spin.

Marie Kelly is into the attack. She can bowl both right and left handed, so keep an eye out for that!
