Bryony Smith has really worked for that. She struggled in the middle and it looked like she was using up deliveries but has accelerated since and the crowd are appreciative of a classy knock from the opener.

She goes to 50 from 39 balls.

That's gone 72m and I thought it was a mishit!

It hasn't been fireworks but Nat Sciver has quickly reached 37. She's already catching Smith and has just gone about her business in her usual way. No frilly bits, nothing too flashy just pure class and timing.

111 up. Do we have to stand on one leg? Or is just my Mum who makes me do that?

The running between the wickets is really good from these two. As is the work of Grace Scrivens in the field who gets in the way of one and definitely saves a couple.

Every run is crucial and that's really good work from the young Spirit player.

The tournament has progressed already in such a short space of time.

One thing I've noticed is that the batters are more willing to take risks.

Bryony Smith works it into the leg side and Megan Schutt can't get there despite a valiant diving effort.

That brings up the Rockets' 100 and Smith has surpassed her highest score in the Hundred.

I really love that Charlie Dean bowls in her sunnies. The bowler and the wicketkeeper are now both sunnied up and I'm all here for it.

I reckon they'll be looking at 130 at least from here.

A great phase for the Trent Rockets and with so many wickets left they can really accelerate now.

There's a lot of beard stroking and furrowed brows in the Spirit dugout. (Please note the beards belong to support staff/coaches rather than players!)

The main point of the strategic timeout is to take that time out of the game, take a breath, think about the plans, regain that focus and put the batters out of the rhythm they are starting to build.

Nat Sciver obviously chooses birthday ice cream instead of cake with all these scoops. She finds back-to-back boundaries straight after the time-out.

Sciver joins the boundary party. She's a crafty batter and has got that extremely fine to the boundary. It brings about a strategic time out.

Maybe Spirit are hoping Sciver will bring out some birthday cake in the allotted 90 seconds...

Bryony Smith has found another gear. Great use of the feet and she dances down the wicket to smack the young Grace Scrivens back over her hear for a one-bounce four.

It brings about yet another fielding change. This is causing issues for Spirit who are feeling the pressure. Remember, Nat Sciver is at the other end and has barely had a go yet.

That last five balls were better for the Trent Rockets and Smith is picking up a bit of momentum. Spirit will be under pressure now. They're at the halfway mark and have only taken one wicket.

The frustration was just building and Smith has recognised the need to up her strike rate. A freebie helped round the corner again from Smith who then backs it up with another four.

I was just saying she was going along slowly and along come three fours.

I wonder if the same works with lottery numbers if i say "I never win the lottery" and then all of a sudden tomorrow I'm on a yacht in the Bahamas....
