  1. dropped catch

Deol dropped on 0published at 38 overs

That might be England's last chance. Harleen Deol sweeps to Issy Wong at fine leg but, diving forward, the England quick drops the catch. It wasn't easy but she'll be disappointed.

You can't miss chances like that in this situation.

  2. Ind 198-3published at 37 overs

Need 30 runs from 78 balls

Harleen Deol joins Harmanpreet Kaur in the middle gets stuck halfway down the pitch after considering a crazy single. Thankfully for India, England can't collect the ball cleanly.

A wicket-taking over from Kate Cross. Too little too late?

It was a very good knock and she's got India into a winning position. She'll be gutted with how she's got out.

It has been a consummate innings but she got a bit excited at the full ball. It was an easy catch for Alice Davidson-Richards.

    Well...

Smriti Mandhana will not get her hundred. She spoons a catch up in the air off Kate Cross.

With only 30 runs needed it shouldn't matter but...

I really like how calm Harmanpreet Kaur looks. It isn't often she looks this calm.

I remember when she made 173 against Australia in the World Cup in 2017 she almost got run out when she was making her century and she shouted at the other player so much they cried and the game got stopped for five minutes.

  7. Ind 195-2published at 36 overs

    Target 228

Glorious. This is turning into a highlights reel now. Harmanpreet Kaur with a classical extra cover drive which Danni Wyatt cannot cut off.

There's a long discussion at the end of this over as England try to decide what to do next.

  8. Ind 188-2published at 35 overs

Smriti Mandhana is two hits away from her hundred now.

That is a lovely shot. It was full, yes, but the pace on and it comes off the bat magnificently.

  10. 6 runs

My word! What a shot. Smriti Mandhana launches Issy Wong over long-on for six. The best we have seen today.

  11. Ind 179-2published at 34 overs

Need 49 runs from 96 balls

After an innocuous over from Charlie Dean, England decide it is time for Issy Wong's pace.

I'm honestly not sure what England will do to react to this defeat. They could look to bring Freya Kemp in because she's a powerful left-hander but Alice Davidson-Richards batted well today. They could take out Issy Wong but then you'd lose the pace.

Of course if you put Katherine Brunt and Nat Sciver into this bowling attack then things may look differently but at the minute it's looking all too easy for India.

Spinner Charlie Dean will bowl after the drinks break.

I cannot understand why Alice Capsey has not bowled yet. She has a golden arm.

Today is probably the first day that England have missed the senior players in the squad.

The players are taking a drink.

When will Smriti Mandhana start thinking about her century?

  17. Ind 175-2published at 33 overs

    Mandhana 81, Kaur 35

Amy Jones and Sophie Ecclestone, England's captain and vice-captain, come together for a chat but there's no sign of Issy Wong yet.

Cross continues but England still can't stop the flow of runs in the afternoon sunshine.

Oh and now a misfield! It's Capsey on the boundary. This is becoming a day for England to forget.

I would potentially give Issy Wong a couple of overs down the hill and just let her bowl quick.

India only need 60-odd now, if she bowls an expensive over it is not the end of the world because England aren't in a winning position.

  19. Ind 165-2published at 32 overs

Need 63 runs from 108 balls

Alice Capsey may have been the busiest England player in the last couple of hours as she sprints and sprawls on the boundary. She's doing all she can but England would prefer she wasn't in the game quite so much.

It all looks easy for these two experienced India batters.

The pressure that has been built has gone with that boundary. Harmanpreet Kaur has won that battle.
