It is lovely aggression from Alice Davidson-Richards. It was a shot that deserved six because it was beautifully struck.

  7. Eng 217-7published at 49 overs

One of the best shots of the day! Davidson-Richards smacks one just short of six. A stumping chance is missed a ball later too at the end of the over. Davidson-Richards could still get a much-deserved fifty.

  8. Eng 212-7published at 48.3 overs

It's a good start to the penultimate over from Deepti Sharma...

This has been a good little partnership, they have run well. Charlie Dean has really added some impetus into the backend of the innings.

Poor Goswami. That is a long way down after a 10-over spell. It was a good effort but she never looked like catching it.

That was a good diving effort from Goswami because she's got a long way to get down.

  14. dropped catch

    Eng 205-7published at 47.2 overs

Poor Jhulan Goswami tries her best to get herself to a catch off Charlie Dean but just can't make up the ground in time as she sprawls forward.

    I won't call it a drop.

The runs are flowing now. Can England get up to 230?

  16. Eng 200-7published at 47 overs

    Davidson-Richards 40, Dean 13

More cheery applause greets England's 200th run. They have taken the meandering route to get there but now have a decent score on the board.

Charlie Dean looks disappointed as she misses a cut at the end of this over.

England have just lacked someone anchoring the innings, someone that the rest of the players can bat around. Every time someone has threatened to do that for England India have found a wicket.

  18. Eng 198-7published at 46 overs

Alice Davidson-Richards gets out the reverse sweep now to cutely work herself a couple more. She repeats the shot at the end of the over too, gaining two more.

    Really good batting.

I don't understand why the Indians have decided to take the stumps out of the game. It is such a defensive plan.

  20. Eng 192-7published at 45 overs

    Davidson-Richards 33, Dean 10

This is turning into a bit of a tactical tussle now with seamer Pooja Vastrakar bowling wide balls from round the wicket.

Stuart Broad tried this in T20s for England in the men's game, not perfectly successfully if I remember rightly.

It doesn't quite work here either as Dean chops down on the ball and it races to the boundary.
