This session feels like it hasn't been too crazy given what came before but there have still been 139 runs in 25 overs.

Caleb: A decent score after 50 overs in the first one-dayer here at Rawalpindi. Let's hope the bowlers go well.
Pope 41, Brook 10
That tweet made me chuckle.
There are more hands on hips out in Rawalpindi with Pope this time edging one wide of the solitary slip.
He then swipes across the line in a fashion which suggests this pitch may be one he wants to roll up, stick in his kit bag and take it home with him.

It's been a remarkable day. There's been so many records being made here.
England have 300 and they have done it inside 50 overs! It's not too long ago they couldn't do that in an ODI.
Only once has a team got to 300 quicker in a Test.
I think the bowling at those bars that have cricket nets in are tougher to face than Mohammad Ali on this pitch.

Brooks has played some lovely shots here. He's got so much time, a lovely pitch and a good opportunity to show people what he can do in this format of the game.
Given he now has a second wicket I reckon your sister may pip Zahid Mahmood, Grace.
I say that but Harry Brook has just pumped his fifth ball, bowled by leg-spinner Mahmood, over extra cover for a glorious four. He came charging down the pitch and played it perfectly.

Re toughest first few hours of a job: my sister started as a waitress and serving her first customer, tripped and spilled baked beans in the customer's handbag. Does that equate?

We have ourselves another maiden, the second of the day. Mohammad Ali's Test debut improves ever so slightly.

Re. Paul at 9:01… it must be a Paul thing, I did the same so I’ll share the blame!

England have batted so aggressively today. How will Livingstone and Jacks play? That tells you all you need to know about their line-up.
This is such a strange score.
Harry Brook, playing his second Test, joins Ollie Pope in the middle.

That was well bowled. Pakistan are trying to stick to the basics and as soon as we saw that replay we knew it was hitting the middle stump.
Root lbw b Mahmood 23 (Eng 286-3)
Joe Root replays the sweep shot on the way off. He plays it so well but this time it has proven to be his downfall.
Zahid Mahmood has conceded 100 runs inside 15 overs but he has a second wicket.
I've seen one replay and I'd start walking, Joe.
Joe Root is given lbw to leg-spinner Zahid Mahmood.
He reviews but this looks out!
